He was ahead by 67 votes before the absentees; now he’s behind by 200 with what, 2500 absentees counted? The majority of the absentees were supposed to have been Reps; what happened here when the Dem gets close to 60 percent of them?

Yup. I was the first one to mention it here. It was done in jest, but apparently, it turns out to be true

Absentee ballots are the BIGGEST form of vote fraud in American politics today.

ACORN and other leftist groups help entire families apply for absentee ballots: uncles, cousins, brothers in law, etc — and election boards cannot possibly check to ensure these people are truly legitimate voters.

The idea that absentee ballots are ONLY for bed-ridden, hospitalized, or out-of-state people has been completely DISCARDED.

If the Republican National Committee does not commit to completely revamping the absentee ballot system, our country is doomed to be ruled by ACORN statists for the forseeable future ....

They’re in for a long fight - more than half of the mil-votes were tossed.

“The majority of the absentees were supposed to have been Reps; what happened here when the Dem gets close to 60 percent of them?”

Probably they were screened by ACORN first. I find it highly unlikely that overseas military ballots would swing a vote to the likes of Murphy, who doesn’t think bin Laden should ever receive the death penalty.

Goes to show that all.. repeat ALL close votes default to democrats.

This will continue until people start going to jail for election fraud.

"ACORN"

Agree, plus probably lots of other players in vote fraud. The traditional Republican advantage in absentee ballots has been eliminated and it looks like several thousand overseas military ballots won't be counted either. Count every vote has become count every Democrat/Marxist ballot.

I heard somewhere that the Democrats brag that while they sometimes lose elections, they never lose a close one.

They’re simply experts at voter fraud, which they’ve elevated to an art form.

It's time we put that myth to bed. It may have been true 20 years ago, but thanks to changes in voting laws and ACORN activists any bonehead can register to vote absentee and not even have to invest in a stamp to do it. Heck, my own vote in 2008 was considered "absentee" even though I went to the Registrar to vote early.

More repub political incompetence. This should have been an easy win for a well known repub in a district of 500k with a 70K advantage in Repub voters.

Absolutely! This totally botched election had stupid inside the Beltway moderate Republican incompetence written all over it:

The RAT, Scott Murphy, totally took the party line on green jobs, porkulus and how great Chairman Hussein is. Awful, but straightforward. On the other hand, Tedisco hemmed and hawed that he didn't think porkulus was the right way, but something had to be done, the AIG bonuses are bad, we have do to something. Mealy mealy mealy mouth mouth mouth.

2010 is going to be a disaster if this is what the Republicans plan on doing nationwide.

It is amazing to me that with Thousands or Millions of votes, the result comes down to the last 67 votes?

What is the statistical likelihood of all these close races ending up coming down the the last frew votes?

I think ACORN helps with the count until there is just enough to win.

Al Gore was their first attempt.

This was the nastiest race I have seen so the Repubs were playing hardball. However, i just heard this morning that Murphy didnt even live in the state until a couple years ago. If that’s true why wasnt it ever mentioned during the campaign?

WTF? Close races, by definition, come down to the last few votes.
