Specter says that President Obama, his old friend Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) have all agreed to campaign and raise cash for him -- and that he will welcome the fundraising help of Penn. Gov. Ed Rendell, another old friend.
An unspecified group of national leaders will huddle together tomorrow to discuss those plans, he said.

Conservatives were already rallying around Toomey...which is why Specter fled the RNC.
The porkulus bill needs to be the 2010 wedge issue. The RNC needs to spend every cent they have admonishing every member of Congress who voted to increase our deficit by $1.8 trillion in 2009.
Wow, I had know idea that the dems were so terrified that Toomey was going to win the senate seat from specter.
That was easy! No time wasted; he’s right at home with his new comrades.
I’ve got to admit, Sphincter looked funny wearing those pink kneepads with the Obama logos on them this morning.
The RNC better start rallying support for Toomey now. He has conservative support but the GOP needs to make up its mind once and for all and get out in a big way. The electon will be overrun with Soros money from out of state , so they’ll need to stay united on this one.
The time of republican/democrat politics is over.
The RNC is not the answer.
Bought and paid for.

EXCERPT
Well, of course I am, Mr. Specter said when asked if hes worried about the conservative backlash. But (President) John Kennedy had it right. He said, Sometimes the party asks too much. And this is something I think is necessary for the country. It goes beyond politics. It goes beyond the Democratic or Republican position. Its the right thing for America.
Mr. Specter said he would have supported the package even if Democrats had not added $6.5 billion in additional money for the National Institutes of Health to the final version of the bill.
Mr. Specter had sought the money for years, and had mentioned that he wanted the money in the bill when he met with President Barack Obama last week.
Thats only one small part ... Thats not determinative in my mind, he said.
The stimulus vote could create a political problem, he said, but I thought the public interest was so important that I have to take whatever problems it brings me.
Specter is right. The NWO is at hand.
The RNSC needs to sue him to recover any and all money they have helped him raise since his re-election. They raised money for him as a Republican and he has committed fraud by switching parties and holding on to the money that was previously raised for him.
The current RNC is part of the NWO
Specters whole attitude has been infantile, someone needs to put a diaper on his butt and a pacifier in his mouth, maybe that’s vice versa!!!!!
It’s important that conservatives heavily support Norm Coleman. I realize Coleman too is a RINO, but Franken is a freak of leftism. Coleman must succeed in his quest to thwart Zero’ agenda.
Shouldn’t be a problem, he has ACORN on his side now.
Looking to the RNC for solutions is not the answer. It was in 2000 but not anymore.
