Under an agreement with MHz Networks, a Falls Church-based educational broadcaster, AJE will become available today to households throughout the Washington area, and to cable and broadcast viewers in 20 other cities in a few months....
Although some people might have "strong opinions" about the addition of AJE, Thomas doesn't expect much backlash. "We're dedicated to the news from an international perspective, and we haven't had a solid English-language block of content out of that part of the world," he said. "For us, it adds to the overall mix of what we're trying to do."

Great. Within a month, that’ll be the ONLY channel 0bama will allow anyone to receive. Think they’ll still give Rush his three hours each day? *SNORT* ;)
We are so screwed.
Just Great.
It will be added to the 3 Spanish, 2 Shopping, one soap, CNN, MSNBC and weather channel. None of which I watch on my Timewarner Cable.
I appeared on this channel in December doing a debate over the “legacy of the Bush years.” I DESTROYED the lib in the debate, because I immediately went on the attack. I didn’t “defend” anything. I said the whole mortgage/stock market crisis was caused by the Dems and that Barney Frank and Chris Dodd should be in jail! The lib was literally sputtering.
But A-J allowed you to debate the other side, correct?
Ergo, they were neutral?
So the hand-wringing by those who see this as the next step into the Islamicisation of the US might be a bit over the top?
Not only did they allow me to debate the “other side,” but I won. And I won so convincingly that they called me back a month later for another appearance, which I could not do.
Your winning or losing is more of interest to you than to whether A-J is on US cable.
However, if you won and they still invited you back says more about them than the “A-J in America is the sure sign of the apocolypse” people would have others believe.
Well, I think it’s interesting the other side was represented. I don’t worry about a new TV network, since none but Fox seem to be making any money.
