From my perspective I have never seen such a bunch of weak 'leaders' now 'in charge' as Speaker of the House, Senate Majority Leader, TOTUS, and VP.
What we are witnessing is collective effect from the inabilities resulting from the culmination of years 'of service' by tenured politicians that have spent 80% of their time playing politics. That is their time (mentally & physically) being occupied from sucking up lobbyist monies, lobbyist meetings, covering their tracks, flying around, going to party power coordination meetings, etc.....anything but actually educating themselves on current issues to create fair & effective and efficient legislation.

You are correct, but you are also preaching to the choir. The current crop of politicians, especially in DC, are all poster children for term limits. BUT, they all bring home the pork for their home districts. Until the citizens are forced to get off the government's tit, nothing will change. You know the,
"VOTE DEMOCRAT - IT'S EASIER THAN WORKING" attitude.
Most of the senators and representatives could not live under the laws they have FORCED upon us. A number of them are so crooked they can hide behind a corkscrew, and when they die, no one has to dig their graves - the funeral directors just screw them into the ground.

They are only there for the money and power that they can make and build to further pad their wallets. Which is why I think that all elected congressmen and senate members should subject to oversight and not be allowed to use their position for personal gain.
Furthermore, they should be limited to an annual salary of no more than $150,000. If this were the case maybe we would have some people elected that really want to do the job.
