When Iranian government official Ahmad Samavati arrived in Washington, D.C., in February at the head of a five-man negotiating team, he thought he had an offer the Obama administration couldnt refuse.
The Iranian regime was going to turn over scores of top al-Qaida operatives, including some on the FBIs Most Wanted Terrorists list.
To Samavatis surprise, the State Department officials he met declined the offer. They told him they did not want any al-Qaida people. They told him they didnt want them in the United States,an Iranian source familiar with the negotiations told Newsmax.

BO is afraid that they might finger him as one of theirs.
Well, they could always send them to Camp Gitmo. At least for the next few months.
Shades of Bill Clinton and Madeline Notsobright
They could send Holder over to Iran to try them there.
Didn’t I read watch this movie when Clintoon was President??
He’s a do nothing “present”-dent.
He is critical of others who handled the task but as for him, he doesn’t want “that” responsibility.
The President of the United States cannot pick and choose what elements of National Security he wishes to secure.
In WWII, captured German Nazi soldiers were held captive inside the US (brought here from the European battlefield). The current White House is exposing their cowardice to action.
Oh, hell, he doesn’t want to “torture” them!
If some of the al quaeda operatives were on the FBI ‘Most Wanted’ list, Zero, as pres..ent’s primary duty is to uphold the constitution of the USA and includes enforcing the laws. If someone is wanted zero should follow the law or face serious concequences.
Correct. As with the banking collapse, this is willfull neglect. Intentionally doing the wrong thing.
Even doing “nothing” is a conscious action when you have already identified the risk and are in an observatory role.
Oh yeah! It's a higher budget remake of the old classic. - a tragedy as it finally played out...
So, at the very least,
an AMERICAN government, led by AMERICANS
would now come forward and tell the world
and the American people, publicly, that:
“As has been suspected for years, and now admitted by the government in Iran, there are quite a number of Al Queda senior operatives whom the Iranian government is willing to hand over to us.”
“But, the price they ask is too high.”
“What is not clear, is how free or not free the Al Queda operatives in Iran are. We can hope they are prisoners in Iran, but we don’t actually know that at this point.”
I guess they are afraid Arab donations will dry up and the lefties will think they are too conservative.
