It gives me great pleasure to announce the end of “global warming.” Or rather at least the term “global warming.”
As doubt about the hysteria of global warming and anthropogenic climate change continue to grow amidst the scientific community and the public, a new marketing message by advocates of the theory is beginning to emerge. Much like how the Obama Administration has decided to forgo the use of the phrases ‘enemy combatant’ and the ‘Global War on Terror’ because they were deemed offensive, it is believed that messaging will help turn the tide and spur action on climate change.
The New York Times recently reported that the term ‘global warming’ “turns people off, fostering images of shaggy-haired liberals, economic sacrifice and complex scientific disputes.” To that end, ecoAmerica, an environmental non-profit marketing firm has proposed a complete change in the vernacular used to sway public opinion. Rather than ‘global warming’, they advocate the use of “our deteriorating atmosphere.”

I don’t think many people will give a rat’s posterior about climate when the “solution” coming from Congress and the White House will mean they can no longer afford to air condition or heat their homes and they are on unemployment because their employer had to cut back due to rising utility rates.
Well here it is May 5 in New England and it’s still 47 chilly degrees out there with clouds and rain. Sure could use some of that “global warming” they keep promising us.

The atmosphere in this country is declining because of the nonsense spouted by liberal morons. “Climate change” and “global warming” are Democrat scams, to be used to funnel money to their supporters.
I hope they really suffer under the Obama regime. BTW, Maryland is just as bad.
The very fact that they have to fart around with the naming of the alleged phenomenon only goes to prove the fragility of their premise, doesn’t it?
