take a look at T. Rowe Price if you just do mutual funds. Solid company and their funds generally do better than most fund families.

What do you do in your account? Straight mutual funds or more brokerage and funds or....?

What really bad stuff do you know about Vanguard?

I know nothing bad about Vanguard.

In fact, I highly recommend them. They have excellent customer service, low expense ratios, and good brokerage service.

More demonstrative is

“Prominent homosexual activists lead screaming demonstration, terrorize Boston church sponsoring ex-gay religious event.” http://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen/09b/ParkStreetChurch_0428/index2.html

I am really surprised that Park st., would even have Exodus Int there, as they usually convey that only “seemingly demented” street preachers who preach on Hell get harassed.

“Any suggestions, on this thread or by private message, would be very welcome, as this news makes me want to hurl.”

I am very happy with Schwab, and they do have very good tools. Though I do use a terrific free program that you might be interested in “MedVed” which allows you to view your portfolio tick by tick with all sorts of charting tools, though it will not allow you to follow more than a certain amount of stocks. However I do also have an account with Ameritrade which allows me to follow as many as I want.

Hope this helps. At any rate check out Medved, an extremely useful program.

Boston-based Fidelity Investments wants to make sure that Frank wins his next election.

I should open an account with them just so I could close it and tell them why.

Exactly, his last two terms he ran unopposed.

Sounds like payola to me.

“My days of doing business with Fidelity Investments just ended.”

I have two IRA’s at Fidelity. No more. Tomorrow I am moving them to Schwab.

Ummm....

I knew a fairly high apparatchik within the organization that was forced out. They told me the Fidelity culture had many Gays within it. With that as a background, this does not suprise me.

Note, this is an opinion that is often discussed amongst investment professionals.

Fidelity is an investment company with a focus on their own funds that carries other funds, where as Schawb is more of a mutual fund super store that also has their own funds....

Boston Fund. Boston Bawney. Makes sense to me. Taking my money out of Fidelity also makes sense to me...

Fidelity handles my 401K. Or at least they did until now. Noise will be made about this impropriety.

Any suggestions from my fellow Freepers on where to move my IRA to?

T Rowe Price, perhaps. I've been happy with them over the years. But make sure that they aren't in the same boat as Fidelity also.

BTW, Fidelity handles the 401K program for the government entity known as TVA. That's a big outfit. It would be interesting if Fidelity were to lose such a large number of customers.

Come to think of it, I’ll have to re-read the Hatch act. Fidelity, as the handler of the 401K program of at least one large federal agency, might be subject to the rules regarding political activity as outlined in the hatch act.

If you call to complain and get the broker of the day, they can't do much.

Many are young, working at major facilities, I think they have one in Texas and Cleveland.

However, you could ask to speak to their "Registered Principal".

Yes they have one on staff or they have a major SEC violation on their hands, and they have to hand you off to him or her if you ask.

Letting the Registered Principal know of your displeasure with Ned Johnson and his support of Mr. Frank is up to you, however now you are informed....
