Pirate Attack Victims honored in NYC

The U.S. cargo ship captain and a crew member who were taken hostage by Somali pirates have been honored at New York's City Hall by Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The mayor presented keys to the city to crew member William Rios and Capt. Richard Phillips and joked about Friday's baseball game at the New York Mets' Citi Field.

The mayor says he was going to give the men tickets to the game but decided against it because the Mets are playing the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Has anyone noticed how little attention the media has paid these people. Once the Captain flew back and got off the plane, that was IT. No more stories.

I suspect that Obama ordered a clamp down on this story, because there were too many ways that he could have been made to look bad—either as the guy who almost got the Captain killed with his restrictive ROEs, or the guy responsible for killing those two poor innocent Somalian teenagers who were only trying to make a living in difficult circumstances.
