BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — A U.S. soldier in Baghdad opened fire on his fellow soldiers Monday, killing four American troops before killing himself, a senior defense official said.
Three others were wounded in the incident at the U.S. military base, Camp Liberty, in Baghdad, the official said.
The U.S. military issued a news release saying only that five coalition soldiers were killed Monday in a shooting at Camp Liberty.
The military did not give the soldiers’ nationalities or provide further details
Oh dear God. Another muslim soldier gone rogue? Remember the one that went in the tent back in 2003/04 and killed his fellow soldiers?

Wow. That’s terrible. It’s bad enough that our soldiers are battling an enemy trying to kill them, and it’s horrendous to think they were killed by one of their own. You would think they could trust their own. My guess is the soldier who opened fire had some sort of mental problems.
I remember that one all to well, that was my sons unit and we had no contact with him at the time
To diminish the combat and deployment stress the servicemembers are dealing with on a daily basis by calling his actions “another muslim soldier gone rogue” is beneath contempt.

I am not trying to ‘diminish’ the combat stress of our soldiers. The fact is that the only other time something like this has happened to my knowledge in Iraq, was a U.S. muslim soldier gone rogue.
He may have had PTSD and just had a psychotic break. The mind can be a terrible thing when it breaks, pray for him as well.
