The results of misbegotten space policy choices over the past decades are finally coming to a head in the new administration. The cans have been kicked down the road as far as possible with regard to when to retire the space shuttle, and the future of NASAs human space flight program in general and the International Space Station (ISS) in particular. Indeed, were reaching a point of no return.
Fortunately, at least some uncertainty has been reduced with recent reports that the U.S. is moving toward a decision to continue supporting ISS through 2020, despite the fact that it will add a couple of billion dollars per year to the NASA budget something not anticipated in previous plans. But this makes the issue of how we will service the ISS all the more important.

Let the UN run the space program.
Move the UN to the international space station.
If I were a betting man, my guess is that NASA will continue to fail spectacularly — and worse, continue to heavily ‘invest’ in liberal feel good projects like the ISS.
Is it not a conservative conviction that makes me wish NASA was scrapped?
Where would they get their little girls to abuse if you did that? How could they spend their bribes? Yours is a very unreasonable suggestion.
I’m too busy thinking about new uses for the real estate in New York.
The UN is incompetent on everything it does.
Please fail!!! Let the civilian side of the house take over this program. I bet they would do better than the government. Of course I always get bashed when I discuss getting rid of anything dealing with NASA. FREEPERS are definitely great at wanting smaller government unless it is dealing with a pet issue like NASA and space program.
Not to worry all those who think government controls all... They will run out of money long before Mars is a gleam in your eye...heh. We will be lucky to even think about protecting the US (ie. defense), so no worries about space exploration and such...
N.A.S.A. has become just another bloated govt pathetic agency.
