Actually, that was Harry Reid and the Dem wing of the U.S. Senate, taking their cue from the Obamedia which took their cue from leftist groups like Media Morons who attempted to bury Rush over the “phony soldiers” comment.
This guy in Colorado wasn’t the only anti-war fake soldier to emerge in the last few years. But these get no scrutiny from the Obamedia becuase they are propaganda tools against Bush and Republicans.
The Dems are not upset by this development. Lying is not a crime when you do it for liberal causes.

The title of this article implies that dems are embarrassed by the incident. I wouldn’t think so. Also, FR is good at vetting these con artists (we did a bang up job on Kerry!). Did we see this guy and point out his lack of credentials? I seem to remember something like that.

""It sounds like this man had a problem telling the truth and needs help," said Tara Trujillo, a spokeswoman for Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo."
Typical liberal excuse - he needs help, or slot in, he came from a bad background, or he was under-privileged, or he was dis-enfranchised, or his intentions were sincere, or he was confused, or...pick your liberal excuse. The guy is a low-life pr**k that should have the...well...you know.

"His fraud is a slap in the face to veterans everywhere and a betrayal to us all," Rep. Polis, a Boulder Democrat, said in a written statement Thursday. Is that homo Polis talking about Obowma or Strandlof?

"..Now, politicians are dealing with news that the man they believed to be a former Marine and war veteran wounded in Iraq by a roadside bomb, in fact, never served in the military but did spend time in a mental hospital..."
Great! After the election, after the damage is done and this story is just an amusing anecdote the truth comes out.

GOPers arent much better ; Dang, we forgot to close the border again and , WHAT?, the checkbooks not balanced?, AGAIN?. Oopsie. Our bad.
There are many GOPers who say one thing and do another, or are weak-kneed wusses when it comes to tough issues, but the outright lies and fraud that Democrats engage in is orders of magnitude beyond what the worst of the Republicans do. Why? Because Republican voters tend to punish Republican politicians who behave that way, while Democrat voters do not. Don't compare the two as if they are equal - you only give undeserved comfort to the Left.
As an example, when have you EVER heard of someone impersonating a veteran so that he could promote a Republican?
