... It was during this breakfast that a reporter kept hounding Obama for his reaction to President Jimmy Carter’s "positive" meeting with Hamas. Obama, who was obviously hungry at the time, responded by asking a question of his own.
"Why can't I just eat my waffle?" Obama asked.
Fast forward a year and Obama is now getting all the "waffles" he can handle.
What’s the latest steaming stack giving his nascent administration heartburn? It’s Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s ongoing two-step on what she knew and when regarding the Central Intelligence Agency’s (CIA) use of enhanced interrogation techniques.
According to the Washington Post, "Pelosi for several weeks has insisted she was never briefed on the use of waterboarding. She did not point out that in December 2007 she issued a little-noticed statement that said she became aware of waterboarding in February 2003…"
Further, the newspaper reports, "…The CIA released a detailed memo last Thursday outlining 40 congressional briefings given since September 2002…That memo included footnotes that appeared to contradict Pelosi's previous statements that she was never personally briefed…"
Rather than admit she suffers from a faulty memory, Pelosi and other Democrats are now calling for a "truth commission" to investigate who authorized the use of enhanced interrogation techniques.
That’s right. Pelosi wants to waste taxpayer dollars investigating an issue she was briefed on more than six years ago. ...
President Obama is also smart enough to recognize that every day Pelosi waffles on this issue – pointing fingers and refusing to admit what she knew and when – is another day she is single-handedly derailing his agenda.
That’s why it's only a matter of time before the president dispenses some hearty advice to Pelosi.
"Shut up and eat your waffle, Nancy."

Based on what's been coming out of Pelosi's mouth, it's more like a steaming double-coiler.

On Sept. 4, 2002, less than a year after 9/11, the CIA briefed Rep. Porter Goss, then House Intelligence Committee chairman, and Mrs. Pelosi, then the committee’s ranking Democrat, on EITs including water boarding. They were the first members of Congress to be informed.
So, who was the director of the CIA, from 9/11 to 2004?
George J. Tenet was the Director of CIA, from 1997–2004 .
Tenet was appointed by President Clinton and approved by Congress. Tenet then became the CIA director in August of 1997.
So, Pelosi is now saying that George Tenet lied to her or ordered his congressional briefers to lie to Nancy.

I hate to sound sympathetic toward Pelosi, for I’m not, but at age 69 it is possible she forgot what she was told. Of course if that’s the case she can’t admit it.
I disagree. Pelosi’s problems are just part of a “noise curtain” put up nobama. We’re paying attention to the noise. He and his thugs are behind the curtain rushing healthcare and cap and trade through congress before we know it.
nobama, IMHO, is very dangerous. He needs to be watched carefully and constantly.

this will end in her resignation and new blood will take over the speakership for the healthcare fight. They do not want Pelosi (the most unpopular politician ever) to be one of the faces of the democratic socialist party.

Nan was just following the game plan. . .now, ironically, like Bush. . .she’s all by herself getting it up the yazoo!! ha!. . .its a good start. .but NOT ENOUGH!

A lot of his campaign promises were on the level of “free drinks in the coke machines” and “school out on friday.” Those were to keep the nutroots in line. Most of his retrenching is on those promises.
But he has far exceeded his promises on most of the socialist agenda. He’s way worse than his campaign would have suggested.
Exactly! 0bama started it so he can help her eat this waffle. Did he think his fellow Dems would ignore the “Get Bush” playbook after he called the play? Pelosi heard him call the signals and started running her pattern.
