VP Dick Cheney: America's Newest Hero
American Daily Review ^ | 5/17/09 | Mark Harvey

Posted on 05/18/2009 10:52:54 AM PDT by lewisglad

I admire former Vice President Dick Cheney. Why? Because he has a love for our nation that cannot be described. He also speaks from his heart and can communicate his message without the necessity of an electronic gadget. He doesn’t have to keep moving his head back and forth scanning a prepared text displayed on a screen or several screens within his reach and give the impression that he is speaking to those it appears he is looking at. Dick Cheney is no fraud and speaks not from scripts or prepared “here’s what you say when” pre-arranged and entered verbiage.

He says what he means and means what he says. He has never, to my knowledge, changed his tune upon the change in direction of the prevailing winds and scoffs at opinion polls and those that live by them. He knows, as most of us know, pollsters’ primary mission in life is to sway public opinion and not report on public opinion.

Many, if not most, of the Leftinistra, the armies of the socialist liberal, hate Dick Cheney because they cannot “get to” him and he does in fact get under their skin because he is a man of principle and cannot be spun. His enemies suffer from CDS, Cheney Derangement Syndrome, and charge him with any number of allegations, none of which have any basis in fact. Dick Cheney, on the other hand, has facts which he stands upon and because of that, he doesn’t have to remember any lies to defend by uttering more lies to distract from Truth - unlike his enemies.

I find it humorous, not in a funny way as in HA! HA!, but in a scornful and disdainful way, that his detractors so hate him they stoop to the levels of people like Attaturk from FireDogLake, aka SmolderingCurWadi. The pathetic author of the post entitled, “Moral Monster”, is the typical immoral effete wimp example of the pot calling the kettle black. What is so moral about accusing anyone of anything when facts and evidence are obviously not available for scrutiny? I suppose one could surmise that an intellectually void ignoramus such as Attaturk and its kind that seem to think that “we said it therefore it is” are incapable of rational thought or debate. They are so ensconced in opinions presented as fact, they find it impossible to accept Truth.

Silly me. I took what my Dad told me years ago seriously and that was to always, to the best of human possibility, never accuse anyone of anything without knowing all of the facts before hand. He also told me to always admit when you were wrong or had made a mistake. He always told me to fight for what I knew in my heart was right so I didn’t automatically fall for and support that which I knew iin my heart was wrong. The key was “knew in my heart” and one cannot know in their heart anything without knowing the facts. Emotionally derived subjective or objective opinions are not facts. Only the intellectually void will allow their emotions to muddy the waters of facts and when presented with facts that dispell their opinions that can carry no water of substantiation, will resort to mean-spirited and unsupported “hate-speech”.

Dick Cheney has a sound intellect that cannot be shaken and that is why he cannot be shaken, stirred or spun. And, because of that, the liberals on the Left and Right hate him and want to violate his Constitutional Right of Free Speech. His enemies want him to shut up. I ask myself whay that is and the only thing I vcan come up with as a viable answer is that he is telling the Truth. We all know that Truth cause the Leftinistra to tremble in fear and tend to flip-flop or at least give the aura that they are flip-flopping on issues. A recent example of that is Nancy Pelosi.

She has changed her story in regards to “torture memos” or briefing six times in the last couple of weeks. She called the CIA liars and the next day said she respected the CIA. So, she respects liars? No, she said she meant to say Bush lied and again, there is no substantiation for that at all. There never was, never has and never will be. On the other hand, the lies of the Leftinistra have been exposed, the Truth is leaking out and Nancy Pelosi has embarrassed herself, this Nation and the American People on an international level.

So, Dick Cheney welcomes the Truth be revealed and the Leftinistra deny him so they can accuse him of lying. And the Leftinistra claim to have the moral authority? If not allowing the Truth to be revealed so they can accuse Dick Cheney of lying and having no way to prove the false accusations as the lies they are, it seems to me that is contrary to any moral authority whatsoever. Someone please explain to me how this tactic utilized by the Leftinistra is a moral ethic. It looks a little immoral to me.

As history is bearing out at an earlier stage than usual, President Bush and Dick Cheney have been vindicated by Nancy Pelosi and her kind. The Leftinistra do not bear well under pressure and because of that, they fold under pressure like wet paper bags in a roiling sea. They have nothing to stand on but sinking sand and they have no one to blame but themselves - yet, they can admit no wrong doing; it will make them look weak. And, that attitude alone proves they are weak.

The Left hates Cheney because he exposes their utter contempt for Freedom and Traditional America. The Right hates him because he exposes the Democrats In Drag. The Conservatives love him because he speaks Truth and, much to the chagrin of the Leftinistra on the Left or Right, the vast majority of Americans are in fact Conservative and Christian.

Is it any wonder that “they” want him to shut up?

Yup. It is a shame he did not run in 2000 instead of Bush. His health was not up to in in 2008 and the left demonized him to try to drive his negatives up.

Republicans in general screwed up in 2008 by not going with the second best choice behind Cheney - Fred Thompson. Cheney is better but Fred is the same tough and plain spoken leader.

Lol. Cheney has allegiance to the GOP. That's all.

He had his chance as VP to be outspoken for the Constitution.

I don't rememeber him being publically outspoken about the Open Borders and other things, ie bailouts, as VP.

The VP is to carry the same message as the President. When Dick Cheney accepted the VP nomination he knew this fact.

It is not his place to usurp the President. That, in itself, would be a seriously bold political move. I do not know of any, public at least, insubordination from a VP. My Presidential history is, however, limited in capacity.

I'd personally like to see the VP role more policy implementation oriented rather than the sort of diplomatic role it now has. It will still be The President who ultimately decides on policy, but I believe it would be better if the VP had a more active role.
