PROPOSITION 1A STATE BUDGET. CHANGES CALIFORNIA BUDGET PROCESS. LIMITS STATE SPENDING. INCREASES “RAINY DAY” BUDGET STABILIZATION FUND. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OFFICIAL TITLE AND SUMMARY

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STATE BUDGET. CHANGES CALIFORNIA BUDGET PROCESS. LIMITS STATE SPENDING. INCREASES “RAINY DAY” BUDGET STABILIZATION FUND. Increases size of state “rainy day” fund from 5% to 12.5% of the General Fund. A portion of the annual deposits into that fund would be dedicated to savings for future economic downturns, and the remainder would be available to fund education, infrastructure, and debt repayment, or for use in a declared emergency. Requires additional revenue above historic trends to be deposited into state “rainy day” fund, limiting spending. Summary of Legislative Analyst’s Estimate of Net State and Local Government Fiscal Impact: Higher state tax revenues of roughly $16 billion from 2010—11 through 2012—13 to help balance the state budget. In many years, increased amounts of money in state “rainy day” reserve fund. Potentially less ups and downs in state spending over time. Possible greater state spending on repaying budgetary borrowing and debt, infrastructure projects, and temporary tax relief. In some cases, this would mean less money available for ongoing spending.

It lists all the propositions on this page. It's up to the voters of California to stop socialism tommorrow. Stop the spending and save the rest of the states from taxation without representation.

"...Yes on 1F."

Why?

Are you aware how easy it will be for the thoroughly corrupt Sacramento legislature to circumvent 1F? All they have to do is raise taxes. Is that OK with you? Or do you somehow believe they won't ever do that?

Prop 1F is the thirty pieces of silver that bought Maldonado’s treachery. It’s populist flapdoodle thrown out there to distract you from the real issues. Show them you’re not fooled: Vote NO on the entire slate, including 1F.

Polls are showing that some of them will go down big. Hmm, not everyone thinks it’s a good idea to stop wage increases if there’s a deficit.
I heard on the news that Arnold will not even be here tomorrow.

populist flapdoodle

LOL, love that term. And I'm voting NO on all, dropping off my ballot tomorrow.

And a ping to frank just because I think the term "populist flapdoodle" will entertain him. :)

I’m not from California. Are these parts of a single proposition or separate propositions? If they are separate, why not pass 1F (limiting state politicians’ salaries) and reject the rest?

It is another scam!

They will just increase taxes to balance to budget!

I will be at the polling place (located near my fashionable pad in the Conejo Valley) tomorrow AM, and be voting “NO” on all 6 propositions.

I’m voting yes on 1F and no on all the other propositions. I hope people are angry enough to come out and vote so the other propositions go up in flames along with the crooks that put them on the ballot.

I was born in CA and lived there until about 15 years ago.

I just looked over some of these I can’t believe how brazen they are to want to raise taxes to do almost everything they want to do, as if eveything they are currently spending on is actually needed. That’s a laugh and a half.

It reminds me of what Ronald Reagan said about the government always finding a purpose for the taxes it gets and almost all of them are self serving.

They will just increase taxes to balance to budget!

Even Prop 1F would lead to higher taxes?

I just want to see the mess. I want to see the complete panic, and I want to see the rest of the country witness first hand what happens when liberals run unchecked over a lengthy period of time. Maybe just a handful of the clueless will pay attention and learn something.
