LONDON -- President Barack Obama suggested that Iran may have some right to nuclear energy _ provided it proves by the end of the year that its aspirations are peaceful.
"What I do believe is that Iran has legitimate energy concerns, legitimate aspirations," Obama said, adding that the international community also "has a very real interest" in preventing a nuclear arms race.

WTF??? Iran has a “right” to nuclear power but the US cannot expand our nuclear power sources, we MUST adopt inefficient “Green” energy policies???

We need to build reactors here in America, and there is no GOOD reason not to do so.
I suppose the problem is that fission reactors produce no carbon, so it would actually still be possible for America to compete under Cap-n-Trade if we had more nuclear power.
Where is the problem if power is abundant, cheap AND clean?

Iran has oil up the bazoo; they have NO need for nuclear, and even the worst idiots in the various nations’ governments know that Iran doesn’t want “peaceful” nuclear power - they just want bombs, bombs, bombs!
