This caption, from the Hitler among the Masses photo album that is also linked is chilling and sadly sums up the political situation of today...

Fueled by Hitler’s oratory and the sense of being part of an epic, invincible movement, Nazi rallies saw hundreds of thousands of people — or, in the case of this 1937 rally, more than a million — swept up by the carefully calculated grandeur. “The great masses of the people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one,” Hitler said.

"Islam and the principles of American self-government are incompatible."

Wrong. They are completely incompatible. Islam is a system of governance based completely on "allah" (Mohammads) laws. Laws made by man are inferior and flawed in Islams eyes, and conflict with Koran and hadith based Islamic Sharia law.

The only thing that can be seen as "compatible" with Islam is the basic concept of totalitarianism, where the state dictates everything you do, controls every aspect of your life. But since all those laws would be man made, it is incompatible with Islamic totalitarianism.

So, are you saying they’re incompatible,

in contrast to the person you replied to that stated they were incompatible?

The One was shining on TV,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The things he said sound right—
And this was odd, because you know
He isn’t very bright.

Michelle was shining sulkily,
Because she thought The One
Had got no business to be there
Until “The Change” was done—
“It’s very rude of him,” she said,
“To let folks keep God & guns!”

The road was empty as could be,
The dealerships were gone.
You could not see a car, because
No one could get a loan:
No planes were flying overhead—
No businessmen were flown.

Obama and the Democrat
Were walking close at hand;
They wept like anything to see
A stretch of private land:
“If this were only nationalized,”
They said, “it would be grand!”

“If senators with subpoena powers
Held hearings half a year.
Do you suppose,” Obama said,
“We’d get it free and clear?”
“I doubt it,” said the Democrat
And shed a bitter tear.

“O Bankers, come and walk with us!”
The One, he did beseech.
“A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk,
Within our slimy reach:
We cannot do with more than four,
To bite the hand of each.”

The richest Banker looked at him,
But never a word he said:
The richest Banker winked his eye,
And shook his heavy head—
Meaning to say he did not choose
The Government to wed.

But four young Bankers hurried up,
All eager a buck to get:
Their coats were brushed, their faces washed,
Their shirts were dripping wet
And this was odd, because, you know,
They came by private jet.

Four other Bankers followed them,
And yet another four;
And thick and fast they came at last,
And more, and more, and more—
All hopping through the federal hoops,
Like a Clinton to a whore.

“The time has come,” Obama said,
“To take your many things:
All shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—
All cabbages—and rings—
And do you think you‘ll keep your pot—
You will if pigs have wings.”

“But wait a bit,” the Bankers cried,
“Before we have our chat;
For some of us are out of cash,
Yet all of us are fat!”
“No hurry!” said the Democrat.
They thanked him much for that.

“A lot of bread,” Obama said,
“Is what we chiefly need:
Pogroms and regulatory boards
Are very good indeed—
Now if you’re ready, Bankers dear,
We can begin to feed.”

“But not on us!” the Bankers cried,
Turning a little blue.
“After promising a change, that would be
A dismal thing to do!”
“The night is fine,” Obama said.
“Do you admire the view?

“It was so kind of you to come!
And you are very nice!”
The Democrat said nothing but
“Cut us another slice:
I wish you were more on the left—
I’ve had to ask you twice!”

“It seems a shame,” Obama said,
“To play them such a trick,
After we’ve strung them out so far,
And made them trot so quick!”
The Democrat said nothing but
“Just spread the pork on thick!”

“I weep for you,” Obama said:
“I deeply sympathize.”
With sobs and tears he sorted out
Incomes of the largest size,
Holding his teleprompter
Before his streaming eyes.

“O Bankers,” said the Democrat,
“You’ve had a pleasant run!
Shall capitalism ever come back?”
But answer came there none—
And this was scarcely odd, because
They’d eaten every one.

“yes but do the nazi characters speak perfect American english?”

in Valkyrie, Yes. That shaved a few points off that movie for me. Other than that is was pretty good.

As far as Sophie Scholl: The Final Days , it is a German made movie, with real Germans, speaking real German. And the subtitles are easy to follow, for those who hate reading them.

Sorry Obama, the Muslims have to make that overture. They have been at war with us for centuries before there was a United States. It is in their culture that we must be either converted or destroyed. Giving them an olive branch with one hand will only tell them that one of our hands is tied behind our backs. They will become more aggressive and more Americans will die. You are a fool to shake hands with the devil.

Plus his definition of what Islam is is not accurate.

Islam is a totalitarian system of governance, religion, and justice all rolled into one. But it is more than that; it is a war manual, a system designed to conquer the entire world. Islam needs to be in a perpetual state of war to function it's best.

Islam can not exist for very long without a war to fight. When Islam appears to be dead, it is only sleeping until it regains enough strength in numbers to fight on.

It is not a system for a non-waring society to build on, it needs to feed off the spoils of war to increase the wealth of it's "umma" Muslim society. It also needs a non-muslim class (captors) to extract a Jizya tax on. Over time, the conquered people die off, slip away, or convert to Islam to avoid this heavy tax, and Islam must move on to conquer another nation to feed off of again.

Islamic society does not allow for much profit taking, so the western banking system cannot function according to Sharia laws. It's traditional roots are bartering, trading something for something of equal value. Profiting excessively is actually punishable under sharia laws.

This is why Islamic societies always seems to stagnate and go nowhere. The exception is oil rich Islamic states where they have a constant influx of western money, which replaces the Jizya tax they would otherwise need to build such extravagance like they do in places like the United Emmerates.

The bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon
The bombing of the 2 embassies in Africa
The bombing/ramming attack on the Cole
The multiple attempts to bring down the Twin Towers in New York before 9-11
The attacks on 9-11 that destroyed the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and took 3000 lives.
The takeover of an airplane that crashed in a field in Pennsylvania.
The ranting of Osama Bin Laden and his minions

Before all of these events and others, Americans didn’t even know how many Muslims there were in the world.

Muslims created this ongoing hatred. They set up the circumstances.

Won’t help to tell me now that I have nothing to fear from a Muslim-—I don’t believe that for a moment.

I watched the trailer... one thing I found confusing was the legend, “I’d do the same thing” at the end.

The bravest man I ever met was my unit’s Roman Catholic chaplain, a local German priest who’d spent the War in Dachau for opposition to Hitler. (There was a special section of Dachau for clerics.) He was modest and unassuming in all things. I know he had great faith, but how much faith must it have taken to do what he did? And even with all the faith in the World, how much courage?

I don’t think I’d ever find that much faith or courage in myself. I’m afraid that I probably wouldn’t do the same thing. How can any of us be sure we would?
