LOL. The winged-rod-and-two-snakes is the symbol of Mercury/Hermes, the god of thieves and commerce. A non-winged rod with one snake — aka the caduceus, aka the Rod of Asklepius — is the ancient symbol of healing and medicine.
He makes no such claim in this article. Wonder if he still believes it. Hope so.
