The recent violence in Karachi has gone virtually unreported, as the more spectacular attacks in Lahore and Peshawar and the fighting in the mountains dominates the headlines.

The Talibs are moving into Karachi; they are finding resistance from the migrants from India circa 1947.

Talibs want to envelop Karachi in chaos, their acts are designed to cause retaliation against the large Pathan population in the city, sparking further reprisals.

The local police have their hands full.

Plus, Karachi’s port is Pakistan’s lifeline.

“Plus, Karachi’s port is Pakistan’s lifeline.”

I didn’t know that.

Thanks Swarthyguy.
