Obama could throw Israel under the bus any day (some would say he already has)... Israel had better start making some other alliances - Russia and India are naturals for the short term, and yes it better watch its back under any circumstances.

Israel already has good relationships with India, China, Japan, Russia and many other Asian countries. The alliance with United States is based on shared values and long-term common interests - rather than just temporary convenience. The Obama era will pass.
