In political discussions with associates, if they don’t watch Fox, I terminate the conversation. If challenged with the standard lib (intelligence or brains) reply, I offer to debate them on any subject with one provision... I know math and know how to use it.

Correctly analyzed, NO liberal idea has ever progressed beyond the Ponzi scheme.

Ever.

The American illusion is about the burst. Obama is the pin(head) that will burst it.

We assume CBS (perhaps the Central Barack Station?) will follow its betters soon...

Maybe Katie could host the "news" from the White House kitchen. At the end of the show, she and Michelle could make Barack's favorite dish.

Just a suggestion...

State run propaganda machine. Add one more to the list of treasonist criminal enterprises who are killing America and enjoying it.

I used to have (and use) a 3rd class commercial FCC ticket eons ago - something about this doesn't smell right. Maybe one of you legal types out there can enlighten me: isn't there some sort of legal caveat, or violation of broadcast charter, that expressly prohibits a commercially-licensed entity to act as an agent of any government entity, unless specifically entering into a for-profit contract for pre-defined advertising purposes or in time of national emergency? Does any of that ring a bell with someone? Either this is a gross violation of federal broadcast regulations, or it's a chasmic, Statist exploitation loophole that needs to be closed when/if we can regain power from these subversives. I'd love to see the former materialize, and be able to revoke the broadcast licenses of the alphabet networks in violation.

I heard mention of an article in a recent Vanity Fair about the unprecedented controlling of media via the Obama administration, be it social info or political info.

It’s becoming fashionable to enjoy limited TV or no TV these days. And cable thinks it’s because of the recession!

Americans would do well to review the writings of Thomas Jefferson on the subject of the relationship between a free press and their liberty. Listed below are a few samples of his wise observations on liberty, tyranny, and a free and critical press:

"The most effectual engines for [pacifying a nation] are the public papers... [A despotic] government always [keeps] a kind of standing army of newswriters who, without any regard to truth or to what should be like truth, [invent] and put into the papers whatever might serve the ministers. This suffices with the mass of the people who have no means of distinguishing the false from the true paragraphs of a newspaper." --Thomas Jefferson to G. K. van Hogendorp, Oct. 13, 1785. (*) ME 5:181, Papers 8:632

"Our liberty cannot be guarded but by the freedom of the press, nor that be limited without danger of losing it." --Thomas Jefferson to John Jay, 1786.

"I am... for freedom of the press, and against all violations of the Constitution to silence by force and not by reason the complaints or criticisms, just or unjust, of our citizens against the conduct of their agents." --Thomas Jefferson to Elbridge Gerry, 1799. ME 10:78

"The art of printing secures us against the retrogradation of reason and information." --Thomas Jefferson to Pierre Paganel, 1811. ME 13:37

"The light which has been shed on mankind by the art of printing has eminently changed the condition of the world... And while printing is preserved, it can no more recede than the sun return on his course." --Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, 1823. ME 15:465

"The art of printing alone and the vast dissemination of books will maintain the mind where it is and raise the conquering ruffians to the level of the conquered instead of degrading these to that of their conquerors." --Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, 1821. ME 15:334

"To preserve the freedom of the human mind... and freedom of the press, every spirit should be ready to devote itself to martyrdom; for as long as we may think as we will and speak as we think, the condition of man will proceed in improvement."-- Thomas Jefferson to William Green Munford, 1799.

"No experiment can be more interesting than that we are now trying, and which we trust will end in establishing the fact, that man may be governed by reason and truth. Our first object should therefore be, to leave open to him all the avenues to truth. The most effectual hitherto found, is the freedom of the press. It is, therefore, the first shut up by those who fear the investigation of their actions." --Thomas Jefferson to John Tyler, 1804. ME 11:33

In this last statement may be found the reason for the current administration's over sensitivity about FOX's exercising its rights to be objective and critical.

It was annoying when Dubya preempted CNBC two or three times a week. Zer0 is doing it two or three times a day now. It's way beyond annoying.

Oh the libs just can’t help themselves. Bill Clinton was alright, but he always had (to the east coast libs) that air of being just a jumped up redneck with pretensions of grandeur. Now Obama, there’s the real thing. An actual leftist and not a fake one like Slick Willy. Ole Bill just wanted to be loved. Obama demands that you adore him.
