I agree. She does not need to apologize. She is what she is. Full of delusions of grandeur, and an unrepentant abuser of the power of her office. Just call her 'your highness' from now on and be done with it...
No apology without genuine repentance needed. And I'd expect hell to frost over before we see genuine repentance from the likes of Ms. Boxer.
The really obnoxious part of the statement was telling a General how “hard I worked for that title.” Can you imagine saying that to a military man, who has seen and heard of battles that lasted for days, in foxholes, beaches, and ships, watching their brethen die for freedom so that bitch can have the title “Senator” and the cushy job that comes along with it.” She is disgusting.
re: Full of delusions of grandeur
My Mom had a great put down for me when I was over the line. She would refer to my “delusions of adequacy”. It was very effective and in retrospect usually quite accurate.
I will be forever grateful to her for her love of words and the English language, and especially her way of sharing it us. She had a saying for everything and with time I’ve come to realize just how accurate most of them were.
She went through a long downhill course at the end of her life, but even at the worst times she would suddenly come up with one of her sayings! It was like she knew what was happening and wanted to give us a clue that she was still in there.
I can think of few descriptions of Ms. Boxer that more accurately describe her than “delusions of adequacy”!
Thanks, Mom!
