Sounds like she was basically telling him the “issues” that were going to be raised before the Republicans could so he could appear to be cooperating.
I hope Walpin has some avenue to pursue in the courts. The Dems in Congress are lower than low, and the MSM will turn on Walpin rather than investigate the facts as this sort of abuse of power by a president deserves.

I don’t know if he has standing. The 30 day notice to congress (which 0bama voted for)was violated. I’m not sure if he can use that as leverage...

It would be interesting to know if the IG serves at the pleasure of the President. It seems the law cited up thread required a 30 day notice of removal which wasn’t given but was followed up with which was deemed sufficient by a Sen.
I thought I'd stumbled onto a parody site, myself. Then I googled: linda tripp color purple and found many corroborating reports.
I have to admit, I found the report humorous in a macabre sort of way; and the little misogynist in me said "I told you giving women the vote wasn't wise."
