Semper Fi,

“I didn’t go to Evil Medical School for six years to be called “Mister”, thank you very much.” - Dr. Evil after being called Mr. Evil.
Maybe he should have said “Madam Senatrix.”
Just another liberal/feminist with a “gender inferiority complex”.
Calling her the honorific “Ma’am” was an insult because it highlighted her gender.
“Dunce” is right. Like I said on a previous thread, I would have told her that when she starts acting like a senator, maybe I’ll call her senator. Until then, she’s lucky she got the respect she did from the General...she would have gotten NONE from me!
The General should have responded “In my world, Ma’am is a term of respect. If you’d rather be called ‘Senator’ that’s fine with me, Senator”.
He should have called her “Senaturd.” I wonder if she’d been paying attention.
The angry mob (students, illegals, the lazy and stupid, enviro-whackos, etc) DON’T CARE. Boxer rants against “the system” and gets them freebies.
That is all they care about. They don’t care about her corruption, her stupidity or her disingenuous remarks. She is an elitist billionaire Leftist. And will be elected in CA as long as she wants.
She should be Olbermann’s “Worst Person in the World!” but Keith is too much of a sissy creep.
Senator Embarrassment is being kind.
“The General should have responded In my world, Maam is a term of respect. If youd rather be called Senator thats fine with me, Senator.”
That would have been so classy! But, she’s probably thinking it has something to do with the Civil War era.
Calling her "Senator Embarrassment" is being kind.
My former brother-in-law was married to the daughter of a New York State Supreme Court Judge. The guy was an insufferable liberal POS that had been appointed to the court by King Mario the Pious.
He bristled at being addressed in any way other than “Judge”.
Naturally, I always addressed him as “Mr.”
... and the horse he rode in on.
He responded perfectly. Anything else and the attention would shift to him and vital defense funds would be funneled away.
That would’ve been fantastic. But she shocked the living crap out of him.
She says, “It’s just a thing. I worked so hard to get that title...”
What she means is she sold her sold her soul to the devil and saying ma’am, reminds her she is a mother...something she despises. Being a mother, to her like Obama, is punishment.

If my son, a lowly E3 just days out of boot camp, was to meet the President of the United States, he would call him, and is instructed to call him, “Sir”
A friend just after receiving his Ph.D. in Economics boarded a plane for an interview on the East Coast. He signed in as Dr. ..... During the flight there was a medical emergency. He was paged and asked to assist. He had to swallow hard and admit his doctorate was not in medicine. Needless to say, he never did that again. Humility, as they say, is a humbling thing.
Yeah, and I’m wondering how nicely that might fit into Freud’s classic definition of “penis envy”. I’ll have to look it up.
