The bad news is that the Washington Post doesn't know where Virginia governor Tim Kaine is. The good news is they're pretty sure he's not in Appalachia or Argentina:
But repeated attempts to review Kaine's schedule — in Richmond, around the state or across the country — before and after he became DNC chairman in late January have been unsuccessful. The Washington Post has requested Kaine's calendar through the governor's office, the DNC and his political action committee, Moving Virginia Forward. The requests have been denied or gone unanswered.
Kaine's office cites security and privacy concerns, as well as state law, court rulings and precedent, in declining to release a full schedule of his travels and activities. Requests for travel records and the cost of his security detail were also denied.
Contemplating a second governor whose whereabouts are unclear, I'm reminded of the line at the end of The Hunt for Red October: "Andrei, have you lost another submarine?"
Can we put a LoJack on these guys or something?
Say again?? I hadn’t heard that. Source? Hopefully the Virginia GOP can make some headway with this. But I doubt it.

They are trying but even Drudge doesn’t pick up when the head of the DNC expenses trips on behalf of the DNC to the state of VA. Not a peep in the news except locally. He is the head of the DNC. He also will not release his travel records. The GOP are pounding it. Let this be Sarah Palin or any Republican and this would be a far different story.
So will he resign too?

Kaine’s a real dirtbag when it comes to stiffing Old Dominonites. But he also claims to be a devout Roman Catholic so missing because of the “other woman” is probably not in the stars.
Actually the Kaine thing came up first but the national media has yet to say a peep about it.

Even if he were caught with another woman or man he’d still be the head of the DNC which interestingly enough means nothing these days not that the same can’t be said about the head of the RNC but I guarantee if Michael Steele had charged the state of MD for trips made on behalf of the RNC the media would be squealing with glee and outrage.
The saw about being reelected unless he's caught with a dead girl or a live boy comes to mind.
Actually in Massachusetts (Kennedy, Studds) even that's not a handicap.
