Being a proud member of Geezer-R-Us, I resent the idea that the Inheritance Tax revenue is driving this, I think...they want those old-timers to go so the revenue stream can be used to offset the Trillions they need to insure drug addicts, welfare recipients, illegal squatters, and the homeless......they probably already have counted how much they can gain in Death Tax dollars in their calculations of Baby Boomer estates.....

This should not surprise anyone - Obama did not want a doctor to be “burdened” with having to assess and give medical aid to a infant born after an abortion procedure.
A kicking and struggling infant may just have a long life if given care and an adoptive family - but even then Obama wanted the infant to be put in a linen closet or out of sight till the infant expired.

Euthanasia for the elderly (baby boomers)? No but heavy emphasis on palliative care.
Some of us have been saying for a long time that health care "reform" is actually a way to cut the cost of Social Security.
Seriously ill elderly have a duty to die and get out of the way said Democrat Richard Lamm years ago.
Also, I believe Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) puppet master, Soros, wants emphasis on palliative care having raised a ruckus with his original emphasis on euthanasia

Obama suggested at a town hall event Wednesday night that one way to shave medical costs is to stop expensive and ultimately futile procedures performed on people who are about to die Translation, Obama wants to ensure that those that voted against him aren't around in 2012.

Rationing is already here. The insurance companies ration health care everyday. The measurement they use is company profit, cant pay to many claims or profit will suffer as is well known to anyone who has ever had a major illness or accident insurance companies are in the business of making a profit not paying claims.
As for myself, and being a geezer, I think at some point accepting useless medical care is squandering my children's future. It seems illogical to yell about the deficits we are leaving our children but at the same time demand every last dime out of the health care system..
