“The report was recycled skeptical talking points. It was worthless as a contribution and right to be rejected. It was written by a couple of economists copying material from a skeptical Web site. Great stuff.”

Quite a few of those points, if not all, are correct. Which do you dispute?

The fact is the Earth is cooling, and rather rapidly over the last few years. I’m also of the view, based on the best science regarding solar cycles, that the cooling trend will likely continue, as mentioned, until 2030 or so.

The global warming alarmists are simply in the position of having their lovely theories demolished by pesky reality. Good thing natural variability turned the way it did, or we’d be really screwed...on the other hand, I think there’ll be quite an unfortunate backlash against science as the end result. The backlash should really be against ignorant politicians who aren’t educated enough to make good policy based on science.

By the way, I don’t mean to excuse scientific corruption. In cases where science data was altered, or results faked, there should be criminal prosecution.

I’m not making any claims about Hansen, GISS, and the surface temperature record, but the irregularities there are highly suspicious and should be THOROUGHLY investigated!

I’d like anyone to explain why they aren’t using any urban heat island corrections, for instance. There are widely reported siting and equipment problems with many “climate stations” as well.

If I had time, I'd dispute all of them, but since I don't, read this instead, which does it for me:

Bubkes

The fact is the Earth is cooling, and rather rapidly over the last few years.

Ridiculous. It's just interannual variability. The last two years have been influenced by a strong La Nina. We may have an El Nino this year. If so, that tune will change in a hurry.

I’m also of the view, based on the best science regarding solar cycles, that the cooling trend will likely continue, as mentioned, until 2030 or so.

It'd be nice if you were right. You're probably not right.

The global warming alarmists are simply in the position of having their lovely theories demolished by pesky reality.

Pesky reality is going to bite us back hard.

This is exactly the reason that they want Cap/Trade. They can claim, over the coming years, that their incredible foresight and wisdom saved us. Therefore, attempting to gain credibility of having a clue about anything (which they only know re-election and stealing my money).

I absolutely hate these detestable bastards.
