WHAT IS SOMA? Just ran google and this is the link...

Soma is a muscle relaxer that works by blocking pain sensations between the nerves and the brain. Soma is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat injuries and other painful musculoskeletal conditions. Soma may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.

My usage of SOMA is in the context of Huxley's Brave New World, in which the common folk were mellowed out by a drug called Soma that was provided by their government. You know, keep 'em drugged out so that don't realize how bad things are and are more receptive to B.S. handed them by their leaders.

Unfortunately, as you found out from Google, the word 'soma' has taken on other meanings in the decades since Brave New World was written, and it somewhat clouds the intended meaning when I include that in a post.
