MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview published Sunday that the United States must compromise on plans for a missile defense system in Europe to get a deal on cutting back nuclear warheads. U.S. President Barack Obama arrives in Moscow Monday to meet Medvedev and discuss ways to replace the 1991 Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START I) before it expires on December 5. Russia says a deal on START is possible but has linked any agreement with Washington's plans to deploy a missile defense system in Europe that Moscow says is a threat to its national security.

Of course the Russians are going to cheat like they have on evert treaty since the early 1970s
In order to satify the START II obligations we had to completely dismantle the entire Peacekeeper missile force. The total combined firepower for all 114 ICBM’s was at around 342 MT, or 342 million tons of TNT.
Obi-one: No compromise! No, we would rather surrender.
It has absolutely nothing to do with Russian security and little to do with missile defense.
The Russians don’t want American troops stationed in Poland and the Czech Repubilic. They want feel free to intimidate them the way it does Georgia.
0bama has already stopped the F-22 Raptor, which gave the U.S. an “unfair advantage” over any enemy. Now the Russians want us to compromise our missile defense system...would they like us to allow perhaps 50% of enemy missiles to strike America? I’m sure the 0bama administration will appease them.
Why would they want compromise, when by simply making noise and waiting they’ll get Obambi to surrender?
This is a simple agreement, which 0bama will sell as a peace accord and demand the nobel prize and get (if the judges are not racist).
The Russians will allow the Amerika to dismantle their old, suspect, dangerous nukes that they could not afford to maintain (for the last dacade). In exchange, 0bama will leave western europe unprotected against any viable missle left in the Russian inventory.
