Hating Palin
American Thinker ^ | 07/09/2009 | By Ben Voth

As a communication professional I have largely been at a loss to explain the judgments being drawn about Governor Palin by allegedly expert pundits. The general meme from pundits is that Palin is a quitter who cannot take the heat.

It seems like the 'heat' has been more like hate -- maybe we are dealing with a simple spelling error? Journalism has gotten rather weak of late

The left can't stand a female Republican who is not pro-choice. That to my mind is the basis for most of the foul attacks on Palin. They simply cannot abide a pro-life female candidate. She was seen as betraying women by not being among the kill-your-own-kid crowd. And she was seen as a legitimate threat to their glorious socialist future.

But it's pointless to try to predict her future until she takes further actions and makes more statements. Only the future will tell. She still has such an enormous backing among conservative Pubbies, her future can still be a very big one on the national scene. It's up to her. The despicable criticism from the left will not stop, so she better be prepared.

Here is what is going on with Palin.

The Left thinks that Palin is an inexperienced, unqualified lightweight. Forget for a moment your own assessment of the Alaskan governor: the fact is, the Left sees her as inexperienced and totally unqualified.

What really must be bothering them is that they recently elected and virtually deified their own inexperienced and unqualified yokel. Deep in their Freudian unconscious (which is where most of their mental activity occurs), the Leftists realize that the “other side” also could elect someone as inexperienced and unqualified as their own nitwit. And that is what really disturbs them.

I love the sight of exploding liberal heads first thing in the morning as I sip my coffee and peruse the day's going's-on!

I can't describe the warm fuzzies I get when I realize how absolutely mad it drives the Lefties and MSM when they hear or see her!

Even if she were the most undesirable, least qualified candidate for office I would support her with my time and money just to make sure the other side has to continue to deal with her!

I would like a bumper sticker that says in big, bold letters, “PALIN MUST GO!” and then in much smaller print right below that, “to the White House”.

She is obviously going to bypass D.C. and the media and go right to the people. You can cover alot of ground in 3 years. I believe she could mass an army with superior organization that would rival Obamas in 08. No need to give the media the opportunity to filter and rewrite her words. Do what Reagan did and make the case directly to the people.

Punditry confusion over Palin's decision and statement is a strategy to absolve critics of their low moral stature in observing the despicable cultural conduct toward Governor Palin and her family. After all, America's political punditry does have an informal role as referee. Some partisans were not unafraid to suggest that Palin had crossed the line when she accused Obama of "palling around with terrorists." It was in their view inappropriate and excessive. The failure to fairly call the playing field of American politics has rightly left the American public observing an obscene scene of political mayhem. The scene clearly disgusts and offends the public across the political spectrum. According to the current commentators, all of the events since August 2008 are some sort of confused nightmare from which we in the electorate can now awaken and come to our senses. Nothing really happened since there was not a "real" candidate in Governor Palin. For some in the politically elite class, such absurd rationalizations will work, but for a sizable component of the public who saw in Palin their own cultural and political fortunes, these comments will serve as further fuel for their partisan fires.

I suspect that many journalists watching their market shares evaporate and their shareholders sell, are aware that the American public is not sad to witness their collective demise. The stony silence among the media class about the hateful vitriol dispensed upon Governor Palin and her family has not gone unnoticed in the public. Whatever the future of Governor Palin, it's a safe bet that her political career will last longer than a great many pundits who make themselves complicit in this disgraceful conduct of American politics and culture.

I hope you don't go blind or anything by responding to your own post! Here's a simple example of the bumper sticker I would like on my car:
