Keep in mind it was the TABC that a couple of years ago conducted raids in hotel bars and were arresting people for public intoxication despite the fact those they were arresting were staying at the hotel and not bothering anyone.
TABC has a history of bullying everyone, not just gay people.
I understand your discomfort with laws being enforced but honestly, if there are laws on the books that say you are not to be drunk in public you are not to be drunk in public. Simple. The laws do not carry a caveat that states "you can be drunk in public if you don't bother anyone." It does not work like that. Obviously someone was bothered or the police would not have been notified.
Look, I am as much against police misconduct as the next person and Lord knows there is a lot of it to go around but in my opinion sodomites want special status. The want to be able to do whatever the hell they want to do and to hell with the rest of us. The very act of sodomy itself is illegal in most states but no one will enforce the laws. It is a disease spreading, disgusting, vial, abominable lifestyle and as one poster above points out it is a lifestyle that demands that young boys be made drunk so that the sodomites can have their way with them.
No... Forgive me but I am not sympathetic to the pervert's plight in this matter.
Of course this is just my opinion but if asked I will support the police on this one.
