The fight over the science of warming is over, Heck NO. I want energy independence, and I want cheap energy.

Just wait until the snows come. It will be week after week all the way into the mid-south.

If you really believed in global warming, or rather if you really believed it was caused by carbon, then the answer is to build nukes. Build them by the dozens, and build them now.

I don’t believe in the carbon superstition, but I still believe we need to build nukes by the dozens and build them now.

The earth’s ecosphere is not as fragile as the enviro-whackos want everyone to believe. But that truth doesn’t get them big government enviroment study $$. Gotta’ keep those PhD’s busy doing something to justify their department chairs and salaries.

Bjorn makes excellent points - but he cannot prove CO2 is warming the Earth. The relationship is not direct, and there are built in cooling systems as witnessing the drop in global temperatures. That science is not done and it is irresponsible for anyone to say that. An interplanetary climate system model is far beyond our current technology, and we cannot make accurate predictions about climate and weather. The fact the politicians ignore that fact is appalling, while casually putting the nation into a trillion dollar tax regime. Now the science is politically charged and therefore Al Gore wants to stop all study of it - or have it done by his friends that say things like ‘the sun has no bearing on climate change’. This doesn’t make any sense. I smell a sham!

Calling CO2 Dangerous is absurd
Every time we exhale, we exhale CO2 (as do all mammals). Plants use photosynthesis to convert CO2 into sugars, using water and the energy from sunlight. In the process oxygen is released as a waste product. The oxygen is used by the mammals to create more CO2. Higher CO2 levels stimulate more plant growth - plants cool the planet, create oxygen, and feed the mammals! In return, the mammals create more CO2 and the cycle repeats. God designed the planet to regulate itself.
The socialist god Obama cannot change this natural cycle. What are the liberals smoking?

The politically incorrect truth is that the very people he proposes we save from disease and death brought about by poor fiscal management as he sees it are the same people who have been dying by the dozens with every advance made by the industrialized and civilized nations.

If they didn’t care then even with all the endless hand-wringing, what makes him think that the newest crop of world leaders will be any more compassionate or altrusitic than their forebears?

Even the most dire predictions allow for 100 years before any cataclysmic events could reasonably be expected to occur; why not suggest unlimited migration by those most threatened by this supposed inevitability to settle in those wealthier nations insulated from such effects by geography and topology?

My guess is that they secretly are rooting for the inertia of beauracracy to eliminate the problem through attrition.
