Have you ever daydreamed of the Chinese taking over, joining the police force, and then shooting these filthy racists when they riot? Or administering a whipping for mouthing off to an officer of the law?

I’m so sick of it I wish we could ship these miscreants overseas for real punishment.

Just pointing out that Gates is not your garden variety race hustler. The ones he replaced at Harvard are your unrepentant race hustlers. It looks like he is taking a page out of the Al Sharpton book in this case. I am also trying to give more information on the story which is what this website is all about.

Why are you even attempting to justify what Gates originally did in this case and continues to do? I would also suggest that offering support for this guy, in this instance, is not what FR "is all about."

If you read the police report you might come to a different conclusion that Gates isn't a "race hustler" garden variety or not. "Racism!" was evidently one of the first words out of his mouth.

Cops lie on their reports guys I’ve ha it happen to me stop idolizing cops they aren’t like soldiers they are just revenue generating bullies

Nice ad hominem attack on all police officers. So you'd rather have street thugs in charge or who do you trust to keep "law and order" besides yourself?

I can see where you’d have constant issues with the grammar police...

I am not defending him nor do I think he was justified. I am also not providing support only giving some background.

Gates has been critizide by his fellow race hustlers on being soft on “whitey” and not militant enough. He was brought to Havard to clean-up the African American studies department.

My opinion is that Gates wanted to get arrested to earn some street cred knowing that this would lead to fame and fortune. Gates wasn’t getting the $peech offers, the movie deals and book offers before this incident. He saw an oppurtinity and took it.

I disagree with you on what freerepublic is all about. The truth will set you free. Information bad or good to your cause is always useful. Otherwise this site is nothing but democrat underground clone where you only hear 1/2 the story.

I’m sure. Of course, the pic on my Home Page showing the event clearly has a black police officer in the foreground. But let’s not let that little fact get in the way of a racist rant.

And I liked the cop taking our Dear Leader task to saying he [the policman] acted stupidly. But, again, let’s not let the actual facts of the allegation become known before the psuedo president of the US pronounces judgement.

I knew the minute 0bama said the cops “acted stupidly” that the cops were innocent.

Just because Gates isn't as bad as others at Harvard doesn't absolve him in this instance. That's like the old joke, saying "for a fat guy he sure doesn't sweat much." It also doesn't absolve Obama for wading into a local police enforcement issue with, admittedly, only a few facts (and a bias on behalf of a friend) states his viewpoint on what happened.

Maybe we agree on one topic -- the truth will, indeed, set you free -- see my FR homepage on that one. :-)

True, but you are still better off being polite. It also helps if you keep a cute three year old girl in the car with you.

Some combination of "Sir", "Yes, Sir", "No, Sir", "Yes, Sir", "Thank you, Sir", a Veteran's Administration parking decal on the window, and two giggling girls under six watching Toy Story on the DVD player somehow excused me from being a dozen miles an hour over the limit last weekend.

Or, it could have been that he realized we were only about forty miles into a weekend getaway and that my wife would likely nag me about watching the speed limit for the next several hours so I was in for much more than his verbal warning!
