"If there's a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that's going to make you well?" -- President Obama

Especially if it's made in a government factory that's exempt from FDA and other regulatory rules.

The REAL problem is that obama’s plan will force Medicare recipients (all of us eventually) to the end of the line for healthcare...

In the gym, I was listening to his town hall meeting speech selling the same worn out idea. A day doesn't go buy without a press conference...it's getting old. I kept looking at his quotes and they all have nondescript words such as "you will be better off", "I will not sign it if it raises the deficit by $1", "we can do this...", etc. These are typical motivational speaker's words, the words he learned as a community organizer. They make people feel good and that's about it.

I always used to say that liberals really don't do any good, they just make miserable people feel good about being miserable. And every time I hear his speeches, I a reminded of that.

Unfortunately, people want to cling on to hope. The same happens with various feel-good pastors who make a fortune making people feel good about by promising them there is no hell.

People in dire situations don't think things through. He is using the misery of the unemployed and making them even more scared, seeking consensus through fear (something Bush did too). This is outright sinister. Folks, there is no free lunch. National health care will cost you and arm and a leg.

Worse, those of you who have coverage and are paying for it, and are responsible and take care of yourself and hardly ever see a doctor will end up paying for those who still smoke while on oxygen tanks for they emphysema, who are overweight (try not eating as much, it's a tested method, and it works), and who are in ER and hospitals all the time because they eat whatever they want and don't take care ofthemsleves.

Ask yourself why should you have to pay and be responsible for those who are not? But people who lost their jobs and and feel an existential threat, are easily swayed into believing that this health care bill will somehow solve all this and save money! Get real.

In socialized medicine countries you are placed on a waiting list no matter what condition you have. If you have money and can afford a private doctor and hospitalization, you are free to use them, but then what has changed?

We will have more obese and unhealthy patients, we will need more ERs, more doctors, more nurses, and more medicines, and the 1 trillion dollar health care will mushroom into astronomical costs while the quality of care will continue to decline.

People, wake up! Write to your representatives and make sure the Rats lose the Congress in 2010. As is, special interest groups will have gotten away with too much (and BO promised no catering to special interest groups -- gays are not special interest groups? Yeah, sure like everything else).

In case you missed it. Wall Street is happy. The bailout money is floating around for the fat cats to play with so they feel optimistic. And what are they doing with the taxpayers' (that would be yours and mine) money? They are raising their salaries! "have to stay competitive" they say...ah so.

One more thing I couldn't believe while listening to this guy. He said that he inherited $1.2 billion debt. Sure. Bush wasn't the sharpest knife in the kitchen (in fact every Republican candidate was rather dull and uncharismatic--has the GOP lost all its talent?), so he did a lot of stupid things that helped get BO elected. But Bush didn't INCREASE the deficit to 3.6 billion dolalrs--BO did! And it stinks to high heaven.

Heck, my insurance company changed my dosage on my protonix (for acid reflux disease) to once a day after the doctor prescribed it for twice a day. I filed a complaint with our HR Dept. and they flat told the insurance company to change it back and that they better not do that again. And that is with private insurance. I’d hate to see what goobermint insurance would be like.

obama has been selling us out to the international bankers (Soros and the Wall Street gang, etc., also known as the New World Order) and to the muslims.

All Americans—conservative, “progressive”, and moderate, need to WAKE UP and see what sort of tyrant-in-the-making we have elected!!!!

And the Republican Party (the only game in town, unfortunately) needs to attract people of stature and talent to it (even those not previously involved in politics) to run for the House and Senate in 2010.

Funny you brought up the Red Pill Blue Pill statement.

I turned to my wife and asked her, Who will decide which works better the Patient, the Doctor, or the Government?

When it come down to brass tacks on this whole issue it is the Doctor Patient freedom of choice (if they still want to practice Medicine) they will have to deal with constant government protocol and there will be a massive amount of equal misary and ineffectivness in this wacked out system with NO CONTROLLING LEAGAL AUTHORITY!

Want a second opinion? Is the next Doctor going to have a different protocal?

NO! In a sense its medicare and medicaid X ????????????people.

If a large cause of the deficit as Obammy says is Medicaid and Medicare then how is increasing its size by a totally un-predictable amount going to help.

This will be enslavement a total system of control over the common people who will be forced to rely on the Government for health care!

Its insane!
