Is he still confident that Obama will govern from the economic center as he stated in his self-congratulatory "apology" to Mum and Pup before the election? Update: A comment on this post led me to find this from Buckley:
Much as I admire President Obama, I believe with something approaching certainty that his spending will bring this country to its knees. "Sustainability" is all the rage as a buzzword, but a $3.6 trillion budget is not "sustainable." Doubling the national debt is not "sustainable." Inaction in the face of $77 trillion in unfunded liabilities (Social Security, Medicare, entitlements) is not "sustainable." This is math, not ideology.
I wonder why he ever thought a former community organizer would take a different tack.

Who says he’s thinking?
Yeah, how’s that “hope and change” workin out for ya, Chris?

The apple fell a long, long way from the tree.
Too bad so sad. Stay away from FR idiot.
uChris Buckley has proven himself an idiot
Dumbass.
I think he rotted while still hanging on the tree and then fell to the ground with a squishy splat.
When a lovely flame dies,
Smoke gets in your eyes.
Bill Buckley isn’t spinning in his grave. His son isn’t worth it.
Who cares what he thinks?
Chris doesn’t deserve a pass. He endorsed Obama when even a casual reader on FR was aware of what Obama was about 6 months before the election. If he’s that stupid his opinion should count for nothing.
Educated WAY beyond his intelligence.
Sorry, Chris, you have zero credibility at this point after your vote and praise for the socialist Zero.
The Commies left him on William F Buckley Jr.’s doorstep in a basket.
As Ann Coulter pointed out, if Pres. Reagan was not Ron Reagan, Junior's father, young Ron would probably be saying that he is senile and sleeps too much.
We all predicted what "the Messiah" would be. I even said so right after the election with Conservative Talkshow pioneer, Avi Nelson (he preceeded Hannity and Rush by several years): Discussing the inauguration with talkshow/physicist, Avi Nelson
Holy Cow! I haven’t heard Avi Nelson in close to 30 years.
I met him in 1973 when I was at Boston College, and we became friends. He nicknamed me BC Conservative on his early days in talk radio. I called in fairly often. Any way to get in touch with him?
He subs on the Howie Carr show (I know it from WRKO). One has to figure out when he gets on or get lucky. I still regard him as the pioneer of Conservative talkshow in Massachusetts.
