It’s interesting, but how much effort do you think that State and Hospital authorities ought to or actually do put in to ensuring that babies are numbered sequentially? Is there any compelling interest in doing so? The cert. numbers, IMO, are only useful as unique identifiers.

Doesn’t seem like a smoking gun, but if this were a court proceeding in an important trial, there might well be a question on this topic asked of a witness.

its not a smoking gun. rather it is one of a long string of problems with the evidence presented. for example remember the newspaper clipping that purported to show o was born in 1961. -— Not one of the elements of that newspaper clipping was true. O’s parents weren’t married. They didn’t live at the address named. O wasn’t born at the hospital mentioned.
