This *might* have been why H1N1 was so vehement in Mexico, but has so far been milder in the US. But lots of other rules apply.
Interesting theory. There's a map in another post - it looks like Mexicans in the US might be getting the flu here too. What would cause that?
Actually the real correlation is with higher amounts of natural arsenic in the area...that is where the bigger clusters are.

You just are not reading about the deaths because they are not reported by main stream media. There is a real black out of the news on this. There are plenty of reports ( with local paper links) of death in the southern hemisphere in the flu tracking forums. The UK is getting hit very hard and their health minister said the system was about crumble this past week.
Many think the CDC has become a “risk management” tool.
I have no idea.
From what I can tell some of the "underlying causes" might be AIDS, sickle cell anemia, asthma, pregnancy, and being overweight. And all of those might be wrong.
And I don't see why Mexicans should be any more susceptible than anyone else. It's a mystery. I wish the CDC would get out of it's "full protection mode' - that implies "gay people". Grow up guys.

You are so wrong. Illegals can walk into any emergency room in the country. They are doing it and they are flying in their sick relatives to get our health care.
That is why our health insurance premiums are through the roof. That is why we are seeing cases of leprosy, TB, tape worms and AIDS.

We are not “allowing” sick people into the country. Our stupid government is aggressively importing them.
They have decided that importing a bunch of really sick immigrants with a highly contagious disease may cut down on the number of complaints about their importation of muslim terrorists.

This vaccine was develop and patented in 2008. This Swine Flu appeared in 2009. Wonder of Wonders ! This vaccine is 'untested' in the U.S. but was tested in Poland. Google it yourself. This is a medical outrage and a scam and will end up badly for people taking the vaccine. ' Nuff said here on FR.

Illegals are much less likely to appear on the diagnosis radar. If they aren’t deathly ill, they don’t go to hospitals. When they do, they go to emergency rooms and get aspirin.
But when illegals die, they hit the radar. So in states with a lot of illegals, the denominator (reported illness diagnosed as swine flu) is lower. Thus, the death rate (deaths/diagnoses) appears to be higher.
Just speculation. But I wouldn’t accept the pattern as meaning much unless you had a lot more data.
