Launching a military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities will be the "only one choice" left for the United States if new economic sanctions fail to convince Tehran to halt its bomb-making program, according to Sen. Joseph Lieberman.
Only through "crippling sanctions do we have a chance to convince the Iranians to stop this nuclear weapons program," Lieberman, an independent Democrat from Connecticut, told the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee. Stiffer sanctions are necessary in order to "save ourselves" from having to make the most difficult choice, which he said was "doing nothing in regard to a nuclear Iran, and taking military action."

The iranians have had sanctions from us for almost 30 years yet even during that time shipped flour and other basics to them during that time, including American rice!

Unfortunately, the current Administration has no interest in preventing the Iranians from becoming a nuclear power. We can only hope that the Israelis do it themselves - and by doing so spare Western Civilization.
Its the only option.
They are probably waiting until they need a distraction from the Birthers or the failed economy.
Maybe Obama can offer them free health care?
It’s the typical “weak-sister” response you’d expect from Lieberman! It’s too damned late for all of that! Besides, nuking Israel is their objective. The anihilation of Israel is supposed to precipitate the advent of their “mahdi” or some such nonsense. So, they won’t be put-off by anything short of their own destruction!
Yep, keep a close eye out for camels in tents and aspirin factories. That’s where the fireworks will be.
Sensible people have known and said this for 18 months. War is a bad thing - as liberals repeat endlessly and usually truthfully. What they leave out is that some options are even worse. obama doesn’t agree, of course, but anyone who loves the United States, Israel, or the West in general would agree that a military response to Iran’s nuclear program is better than a nuclear-armed Iran.

Ostammer won’t stop them and he won’t attack their nuclear facilities. He isn’t going to do anything and Lieberman and everybody else concerned with Israel’s future, particularly Bibi Netanyahu, need to grasp that the U.S. is not at the table even though Israel is on the menu.
It took ostammer a week just to okay firing on some Somali pirates. Anybody who thinks this moron is going to do anything at all about Iran is dreaming.
