“I have looked at the Army website and the Army National Guard website. The MOS 31E reads exactly like the old 95C Confinement MP MOS. Looks like the two older separate MOS categories for MP’s to confine US prisoners or enemy prisoners of war (EPW’s) have been converted to 31E. In the old days the officers were MOS 31A, 31C, or 31D, and the enlisted were 95B (Combat MP), 95C (Confinement MP) & 95D (CID), now all are in the 31 series. Appears to be the same old MOS duties for MP’s that have been around since WW2 to me.”
“The army is looking for internment specialists because they have field artillery working as internment specialists in Iraq and afghanistan. They are putting soldiers in prison in record numbers for killing the enemy. And they can’t keep internment specialists because its a crappy, tough, and thankless job and the army leadership is totally retarded, not to mention treats their soldiers like crap. The internment specialists get tired of being crapped on everyday by the incompetent idiots in charge of military prisons. They are tired of trying to do a job with their hands tied behind their back. So they get out in record numbers. They can’t get enough new internment specialists, not to mention they cut all bonuses, so no one wants to do that job. So they try to con anyone they can into doing it. They have been using MPs (which is a totally different MOS) to staff the prisons for years. They even call up other reserve MOS’s and use them to staff the prisons. Another case of the army can not read the writing on the wall, take care of your people or they will go elsewhere.”
Imagine that! Killing the enemy. Sounds like hate crimes for sure.
