2001? Wow that long ago.

I totally remember driving to college, and wondering why Rush’s voice sounded so weird.

This man is a national hero for working such skill. A rare breed in the USA these days.

I recall how my heart sank when the Drudge headline read “I’m Deaf”. Thank God for this doctor! Bless him and comfort his family at this time.

Wasn’t that strange? It’s one thing for a person who’s been deaf his entire life to have a weird voice, but I found it very strange and interesting that Rush’s voice became so different, I assume from the inability to hear how he sounded and modulate his voice in response. I guess we don’t realize how much we do that as part of normal hearing and speech. You would think you’d just keep talking as usual, though you might not be able to tell how loud you were.

Yes... I remeber when Rush had his hearing problem and it effected his speech... at times, he sounded like ( Mel Blanc .. before Mel had his car accident ) Barney Rubble.
