Sorry. He will either go too far and get kicked out, or he will survive the pushback, and emerge stronger from it, with his own brownshirts to enforce compliance. Look at Chavez for the playbook.

If he does prevail, the timeline will be that Acorn and illegal aliens will help him steal the 2012 election. His enormous popularity (manufactured by a lapdog press) will result in a spontaneous movement to amend the Constitution to allow him to have a third term. The third term will be a historic landslide, not quite the vote that Saddam got, but in the high 60s at least, after Acorn is done with the counting. By then, he will have replaced all the military brass from the top down 3 or 4 levels, and he won't need to fear them. He will be free to eliminate opposition.

If you don't like this prediction, then you better work to prevent it.
