Report Doggett meetup Rundberg 8/8/09

Bill and I got there about 10:30 an hour before. There were about 20 people lined up on the sidewalk holding pro-public option signs. I had my personal poll and another one with Rush's questions about the bill.

Picked the wrong guy to talk to, he kinda got huffy about the Dump Doggett card and when he saw the bill(HR 3200) said “oh you are one of those”……I guess “those” means someone who reads the bill and wants to discuss the bill. We moved on.

Basil was lost so talked her to the place and we talked to a few of the public option people and they kindly took my poll.

Media LIE BUSTER: No one from EITHER side was bussed in, nor did anyone get paid to be there.

About half were in his district and half weren't. The ones who weren't were mostly pro-public option BUT NOT ALL.

The IRONY is that the location WASN'T in Doggett's district. (Take a minute and read that one again.)

So Basil got there and we talked to some YRC, some people against the bill and most of those had read it, researched some things, several (like me) printed out the whole thing and was reading it. They knew what they were talking about.

One older gent , pro-public option, said he knew it was going to be rationed, he was for that and didn't see how it could be otherwise with babyboomers coming up and that's the way it was to be. He was OK with Pg 620. (tho more on that later- with someone else)

He didn't like the bank acct thing nor that all officers and employees of the Health Care system would be giving the personal and financial of all Americans.

No one wanted to say why they need access to the bank acct if it is a “single-payer system) so when you go to the hospital money will be taken from you acct anyway. (Sounds like double dipping) Except for one guy said, “well they have to get the money somewhere, from you somehow”. Yes and that scares me.

I went to take the poll with one lady who had a sign that was something like I can't choose my DR, hospital other stuff and ended up with the word NAZI at the end. 2 Jewish YOUNG men came up and started in with her about usurping the word and minimizing the word Nazi. I could kinda see his point but this bill is fascist and he can't see it. I let him jump on to her and she was holding her own and later tried, really tried, to talk to this very young kid who had studied a lot, had a LOT of information in his head, (you know how it is) gets REALLY angry and low yelling but just so very passionate that his fingers & hands were shaking. Been there, done that.

HERE IS THE CHALLENGE TO FREEPERS: This intense young man (I figure about 18 yrs old) was demanding where in the bill it talks about “eugenics”. It doesn't have to say the word, but just that they intend to cut off treatment or kill those who are deaf, infirm, handicap etc. I haven't looked up the defination.

I had him look at page 620, which worries me that they will go after those with high cost diseases (I read AIDS and diabetics etc), Both of them questioned me about the parts I didn't highlight and claim that because I didn't highlight all the parts on that page and I'm reading it 180 degrees off. I asked if he trusted the Government to decide these decisions and even if it says that now, when “the Secretary” fleshes out the little in this bill, will it still say that or be the 180 away from what is said? I fear they will start rationing right there. The kid doesn't think so.

Please freepers who are looking at the whole bill, send me the page numbers of where you think the eugenics will be activated. And post it here, just in case he might see it.

Of course it was hours later that I remembered one of the new CZARS is a big eugenics guy and thinks it is OK to abort up to the child being 2 years old. If that isn't eugenics, I don't know what is. So much info, so little time to remember it at the right time.

Then there was the beautiful Norma (not her real name) she and I sat down and I asked her the Rush's poll questions. She admitted that she hadn't researched the bill (or really enough of history) to be able to answer the questions. I said, no problem, just use your common sense and think about whether you think the US Government has the right to vote for these things. I asked about the National ID Healthcard. That didn't seem to scare her.

I asked about the real-time access to her bank acct. She said, “don't they have that right now?”. She has draws, that she has OKed. Not really seemed disturbed by the Officers and employees of the HC plan can have access to her info.

She said, “They say (Obama) that people can keep their private HC.” I said he hasn't read the bill, I have, now who are you going to go to for your sources? Someone who hasn't read the bill? Or someone who has?

I gave her a copy of the Constitution. I wish I had said to please read the Dec. of Ind. I pretty much have said all those things in my emails to Doggett.

I weep for this country. Hopefully, some will be encouraged to check it out for themselves.

The weird (not really) they didn’t want to talk about this bill and what it says. One pro-option lady brought her insurance plan. I said, I’m not talking to you about your plan, I’m talking about THIS plan.

Do not let them sidetrack you.

Bottom line- I don’t want Doggett or all Congress to vote no on this because I say so, I want them to vote against it because the Constitution won’t allow them to vote yes on this mess.

Bat Lady, do I understand correctly that even the union THUGS will lose their private health car under this proposal? Only senators and congress are exempt, right? And if so, why are we not telling the union thug people that? I’m sure they think that because their union bosses are behind it, that their health care will not be affected.

Thanks for being there and for reading the whole bill.

It was a very hot, very sad day for me. Whether anyone was paid or bussed there doesn't matter to me either. What saddened me is that I talked with several people who were polite as well as passionate about wanting the single payer system of health care. They didn't seem to have a clue what it would mean for them as well as the rest of the country.

They were full of things like how much the CEO's of drug companies make, how we are all gouged for our drugs, how the doctors charge too much, etc etc. It was almost like they had been rehearsed because I had several people tell me pretty much the same thing in very similar words.

They were several big guys that I started watching when I noticed one of them giving a hand signal to another across the way. This time they weren't dressed in like-colored t-shirts, but they were certainly riding herd on the crowd. There were several of them in the front row when Doggett came outside to address the crowd there. It might be coincidence--who knows. The good news is that there was no violence at any time that I was aware of.

Bat Lady--we never got a chance to discuss this---did you happen to notice these guys?

nice try but wrong.

Congress is exempt.

So are Unions and ...wait for it.... ACORN. Exempt, all of them. ACORN (the phrase is “community organisers”-check with the “community”....yada yada) is all thru this bill that is nothing but government jobs and their job is to build/make/submit REPORTS.

So it won’t work on the union people, but is that their mothers too?
Fathers? family? EVERYONE will have 1-3 years to move to the public option. (I’m looking for the page number, this is one of their most important talking points.) Not true but gotta have the place to look.

How many printer cartridges did you have to replace to print the whole thing? I don’t want to burn through the cartridges so I sift through the bill and print pertinent pages.

Excellent post...thanks.

“”Only senators and congress are exempt, right?””

Did you hear Loretta Sanchez on Huckabee last night? She was his first guest all on the subject of health care reform. She said “We all get to keep our current plans and that’s why I’m keeping mine which I pay for.” Of course, she and her sister Linda are under investigation for House Ethics violations so I hesitate to believe her on anything -especially when I remember how she got her seat in Congress!

Huckabee may be rerun tonight - it usually is so I’d recommend you catch it - it was a very interesting show. If it is, it would probably be at 8 ET. The other guests were very interesting....

On Rush’s show Friday he recommended some poll questions and so I asked about 5 people these questions:

RUSH’s Poll questions 8/7/09 HR 3200
Democrat House HealthCare Bill (This is what the bill says, do you think the US should do this?
Do you Agree/For Disagree/Against

Pg 29 admission your HC will be rationed yes- 1 (surprisingly— he agreed it was in the bill, agreed that it would be done and agreed that it was the thing to do.)
no-4

Pg 58 Every Person issued Nat’l ID HCard yes-1, 4 no.

Pg 59 real-time access to your bank acct. 5 NO

Pg 127 Gov will tell Dr’s what they get PD 5 NO

Pg 195 Officers & emplyees of Gov HC
will have access to ALL American
financial & Personal records (see pg 59) 5 NO

Pg 241 All Dr. specialty will be PD same. 5 NO

Pg 620”contribute to a large burden of
disease, incl. patients w/ prevalent, high-
cost chronic diseases: AIDS? Diabetic? yes- 1, 4- no

Pg 435 Gov will help w/ your living will,
durable power of atty, & wills. 6 NO!! (someone came it late but was adamint)

RUSH is right again, the people don’t like the policies when faced with the facts of the bill.

Do you think if Gov. adds 31 new Gov.
bureacracies & these rules, it
will make HealthCare cheaper? All 5 looked at the flow chart of all the new bureauacracies and just laughed!!!!!

these 5 WERE a mix of pro-option and Pro-Constitution.

Brady is a Congressman, not a Senator. He is from TX, and this video is a great example of how calm the ‘mob’ can be when getting real answers. His staff is where the chart came from.

Just something I wrote recently about this bill:
...
But in general the whole bill is about the “Secretary” (Sec. of Health and Human Services - Sabelous) setting up different programs (read gov. jobs) and issue REPORTS (lots of reports). There isn’t much about quality health care. They even changed the name to INSURANCE reform, not health care.

I look at this 1018 pages as an outline. and when the offices are set up, funded and staffed, THEY (unelected) will flesh out the outline and include in writing all the things we are totally afraid of.

All I do know is that “community” (is all thruout the bill) read: organizers, read: ACORN-SEIU, all must be consulted on whether a hospital can expand or to help you with your living will and durable power of atty.

I hate the whole thing. it is NOT allowed for them to vote yes by the Constitution. That is my bottom line. I can’t get an answer from my rep about that.
good luck, we are going to need it
Bat lady
PS all congress, Union and ACORN are exempt from the public health care option. Does that answer your question?

and Basil, I didn’t notice what was going on around me.... my bad.

just concentrating on the ones I was talking to. I was just hoping that the “purple shirts” wouldn’t hurt anyone @ Doggett’s meeting. With the President and some in Congress saying they would push back twice as hard and calling on the Union thugs to come out.... I certainly saw more of their presence, I was more wary that something would happen.
