Democrats imploding over health care
The Baltimore Sun ^ | August 10, 2009 | Anthony Ciani

Posted on 08/10/2009 6:58:43 AM PDT by AmericanMade1776

The Democratic Party seems to have placed itself on the fast track to oblivion. As public rejection of Obama-care increases, our Democratic representatives are slinking into their shells, just like that fatal character who places her fingers in her ears and chants, "la la la."

Worse than that, our representatives are now attempting to convince themselves that the opposition is actually some type of conspiracy; that the insurance and pharmaceutical companies have paid off some vast numbers of Americans, or that they all march to the drum of the Republican Party.

Just because you are not listening to the discontent, doesn't mean it isn't so Obama, Pelosi and other Democrats.

"So now we have a public, highly disenchanted with Congress, attempting to give their representatives a piece of their minds, only to discover that their representatives have no answers, other than Obama talking points. So what do our representatives do about it? Why, they call their constituents Nazis (Nancy Pelosi) or they try to marginalize the people by grouping them with crazies (Brad Miller) or they cry conspiracy (Harry Reid). With Congress's approval rating at a scant 24 percent, Democrats cannot afford to stick their heads in the sand. If they continue on this course, they will be standing dumbfounded in November 2010, at their landslide defeats."

Democrats IMPLODING!

This letter to the Balt Sun sounds “fishy”. Somebody should forward it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

And they call birthers kooky, crazy and loony.

Note that this is a letter to the editor, not the editorial stance of the Baltimore Sun.

I find it hard to believe congresses approval rating is 24%. When did it triple?

My first thought was “This is from the Baltimore Sun?” But, it’s not an official op-ed; it’s a letter to the editor from a reader.

There dichotomy is still there. The elites running government and their propaganda machine still want to ram this down our throats. The people know better.

Yeah, it is intellectually dishonest to not mention that in the OP.

We can only hope this is true.

And keep kicking the[ir] cans down the road.

That the Baltimore Sun would even publish this is amazing to me - they are so far to the left that they have to turn to the right to see Pelosi!

We could very well see the Democratic Party split into two parties within the next few years, especially if the GOP doesn’t make a splash within that period.

Is this hate speech against Catholics?

The Democratic Party seems to have placed itself on the fast track to oblivion.

I believe they will take a hit on this, but not be devastated.

The appeal of the socialists(dems) is hard to beat; "Vote for me and I will get you someone else's money."

Or in this case; someone else's health care. - Tom

Pelosi is leading them off a cliff, she is getting more caustic, more abrasive more intransigent by the day. She made a tactical mistake by going after the townhall folks, was a watershed moment. She is an incompetent, petty ignoramus. At least Durbin has enough sense and political acumen to appear as though he maybe open to compromise. Pelosi’s position is all or nothing, my way or the highway, by the sheer force of my will I am going to convince all 300 million Americans. Problem is she looks like every guys bitter b*tch ex wife who spends her day primping herself and going out to lunch. This bill is still toast, even more so than before. The final straw will be a call up to Big House to talk about scaling back the bill..”But Mr. President”...”No Madame Speaker, this is what we are going to do, you are taking this way too personally...”
