GARDEN GROVE More than 300 people packed an impassioned but civil town hall meeting on health care reform Saturday, with many showing their views through clothing, homemade signs and even a President Obama Halloween mask.
The discussion, hosted by Rep. Ed Royce, R-Fullerton, had to be relocated from a tiny coffee shop to a cordoned strip mall parking lot because of the turnout.

Simply glancing over the photos, the impression is made that pre-printed mass produced signs in the Obama font do not scream ‘grass roots’.
They scream ‘propaganda’ and ‘I’m too damn lazy to make my own sign, so someone made one for me, just like I want someone else to pay my health insurance for me’,

I was there today. Frankly, I was not impressed and left depressed feeling that our country is pretty much lost, mostly because of the questions and answers from Mr. Royce. I really think most of us are ready to stay in the cage, freedom is just a concept. Everyone is thinking about how things affect them, nothing like our founding fathers who looked as far into the future as they could, hoping to keep their fledgling country going. Just, “What’s in it for me?”
But I loved the signs (well, except for the pre-printed “give me my socialized medicine ones).
Maybe it was just me and I was in a funk. I’ll give everyone credit, there were lots of people there and they had hand-drawn signs and they were listening.
