Jon Voight, our current favorite non-politician rabble-rouser, isn’t letting up on his warnings of the potential consequences of Barack Obama’s plans and policies.
Voight, who minces no words when discussing this President – recently referring to Obama as a ”false prophet” and urging Republicans to “free the nation” from the “Obama oppression” – has lit into the Chief Executive again, accusing Obama of attempting a “slow, steady takeover of our true freedoms,” and asking if the President is “creating a civil war in our own country?”
In comments to the Washintgon Times, Voight again used the S word:
“We are witnessing a slow, steady takeover of our true freedoms. We are becoming a socialist nation, and whoever can’t see this is probably hoping it isn’t true. If we permit Mr. Obama to take over all our industries, if we permit him to raise our taxes to support unconstitutional causes, then we will be in default. This great America will become a paralyzed nation.”
He also suggested conservatives make sure they know the opposition:
“Do not let the Obama administration fool you with all their cunning Alinsky methods. And if you don’t know what that method is, I implore you to get the book ‘Rules for Radicals,’ by Saul Alinsky . Mr. Obama is very well trained in these methods,” . . ..
Finally, for all the talk of the post-partisan, post-racial Enlightened One, Voight considers him essentially a common bully:
“The real truth is that the Obama administration is professional at bullying, as we have witnessed with ACORN at work during the presidential campaign. It seems to me they are sending down their bullies to create fist fights among average American citizens who don’t want a government-run health care plan forced upon them,” Mr. Voight says. “So I ask again. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?”
(These are particularly interesting comments in light of recent developments, including the Democrats turning special interest groups loose to threaten lawmakers who don’t support a health care ”public option,” and President Obama’s own claims that the grass-roots town hall protests are the product of another vast Republican conspiracy.)
Excuse me while I consult the entertainment section for the location of the nearest Jon Voight film.
Obama is PRAYING for a level of civil unrest broad enough to allow him to justify MARTIAL LAW. That would give the SOB the power he craves.
What is fails to understand is that he and his jackboots will LOSE!!
I knew he wasn’t one of my favorite actors for nuthin. Remember Voight in “Runaway Train”? His character is an escaped convict who chooses to ride the train to it’s fatal impact rather than return to prison. It made me realize all humanity is on a runaway train. cool
The dreaded answer is Yes. Obama is functioning as a Marat, calling for more and more blood.

And Obama is capable of faking threats to himself in order to regain the electorate’s affection. Dems can stuff only so many ballot boxes.
That is defeatist talk. Get out there and help them.
I could not agree more. But nearly every CA Rat you list is from a socialist district. They've gerrymandered CA districts to the point that Rat incumbents simply can't be defeated. Worse, they've mobilized illegal aliens to steal elections in any districts where Republicans might stand a chance of winning. When Republicans in Congress allowed Loretta Sanchez to steal the election from Bob Dornan, any hope of pulling CA out of the socialist sewer vanished.

Is his administration incompetent and leaderless? Absolutely.
Could he cause a civil war? Quite possible. If this happens, he could declare Martial Law and suspend the Constitution (nothing new for him), disarm the populace and officially becomes a dictator, even a president for life.
We are not going to oblige or succumb easily and I believe that our military will stand right by us and defend us and keep our freedoms.
I honestly believe that the above scenario is very possible unless his agenda is stopped and the '10 election is free enough to throw a huge chunk of the liberal leprosy out.

The efforts of Acorn and other groups to throw the elections need to be countered by all patriots and exposed at every polling place!! I believe that if the 2010 - 2012 elections are rigged, it will be the spark that ignites the fire!!
true, but, three things are working for us this coming midterm election - first of all, many illegals have found it economically advantageous during California's economic collapse to return to their homes in Mexico and live off the money they've systematically sent back home to momma over the past 10 years. Secondly, the usually laid-back and silent Republicans are finally up off the couches and now out at tea parties and town halls in unprecidented numbers, which hopefully is a reflection of a much larger informed voter turnout in 2010. Lastly, the special interest groups within the state all expecting immediate preferrential treatment by this administration, have all been disillusioned, and, therefore, fragmented in power and message. There has never been a better opportunity for California Republicans to get out the vote, sweep the elections and reassert their position in California politics. IMO

Begging your pardon, but your leaving open the possibility that Mr. obama is trying to do the best or the right job but is not accomplishing this because of incompetence, imho, gives the concept of incompetence a bad name.
Me trying to tell an astronaut how to fly the space shuttle - that's incompetence. The obama/reid/pelosi triumvirate know very well what they're doing, and it is to the detriment of every American Patriot, to our free market system, our foundation of property rights and Rule of Law... to Freedom as we know it.

bounce 90% of the 536 elected officials out of office immediately.
Impose term limits NOW (6 years for a Congressman, 6 years for a Senator, 6 years for a President. No concurrent terms; 2nd terms allowed as a Congressman ONLY, and only after an interim of 6 years has passed. NO 2nd terms for President or Senator. NO proceeding directly from Congress or the Senate to a Presidential/Veep slot).
The roughly 10% of current officials not bounced? These are the Republicans with the best conservative voting records (Duncan Hunter, Ron Paul, Boehner come to mind) around whom a body of elected officials who believe in and act within the true limits of the Constitution - Strict Constructionists - can fill the elected slots.
If this can't be done peacefully, then tar and feather the whole lot of them. To paraphrase William Buckley, I'd feel safer if the first 500 names in the phone book were in Congress & the Presidency than the current batch of scoundrels.
