Democrats planning 1,000 health care reform events Posted: August 25th, 2009 10:18 AM ET

WASHINGTON (CNN) - A Democratic official says the national party will hold more than 1,000 events over the next two weeks in its latest attempt to pressure Congress to embrace President Obama's call for health care reform.

Organizing for America, Obama's campaign operation now housed at the Democratic National Committee, is coordinating the "Health Insurance Reform Now: Let's Get it Done" events that are scheduled to kick off on Wednesday. Health Care for America Now, an umbrella organization of unions and other progressive groups, will be involved in helping to get people out to the events.

"We intend to demonstrate in the last two weeks of recess where the majority of American sentiment is on this issue – in favor of health insurance reform," said Brad Woodhouse, a DNC spokesman.

That will cost them a lot.

They have to pay their protesters.

Have you noticed that their signs are all printed and our signs are all handwritten?

Like everything else about the jOker, this is an orchestrated plan. Quantity, not quality is the name of the game here. So, when the Dhimmicrats return, they'll ram it thru, claiming that they have the "overwhelming" support of Americans.

And if that happens, Congress, you better update your resumes.

I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the statement “where the majority of American sentiment is on this issue - in FAVOR of health insurance reform.” First, the majority of Americans want these idiots to keep their hands off our health care; secondly, it would be more accurate to call it health insurance destruction. These fools need to at least get their lies straight!

Good. That will be one for each page of the bill. So each “event” can delve into the details of one page and tell us why that page will change our lives for the better.

“events”? LOL.

Gosh, I bet this is all on the up and up. Spontaneous grassroots outpouring....a thousand of ‘em, planned.

Brownshirts.

Obama's campaign operation now housed at the Democratic National Committee, is coordinating the "Health Insurance Reform Now: Let's Get it Done" events that are scheduled to kick off on Wednesday.

How convenient...they can let the media know where their planned grassroots efforts are going to show up. Planned by Obama's campaign and the Democrat party.

They intend to orchestrate as much trumped up support as they can for the MSM to flaunt on the evening news to justify their pressing on with Obama’s health-care-and-end-of-individual-privacy nightmare. It's all for show.

““where the majority of American sentiment is on this issue - in FAVOR of health insurance reform.””

Actually this statement is true. I think I read it is around 70%, but reform is a way different game that changing the model entirely. Even many of 0’s initial items make sense, just not the end game. Thinks like insurance portability, getting rid of those pre-existing rules (because all of us have something pre-existing, just most of us don’t know what it is yet) and things along those lines.

One thing for sure, the repubs need to get out in front with ideas of their own, and not the old free market crap we’ve heard for decades. If they don’t, we will be stuck with dems for a long time. Unless the economy tanks even further of course. That may change things.

Will the media breathlessly ask if these events are “organized?” Then will they dismiss them because they are?

Have you noticed that their signs are all printed and our signs are all handwritten?

Reason 1: we are the true grassroots.

Reason 2: we can make up our own coherent messages.

Reason 3: we can spell

I read elsewhere too that the union thugs that are bussed in are all on the clock. Plus, there’s the $12-$16 hour Craig’s list ads. In for a penny, in for a pound. Hopefully, in the end, it will be money ill spent.
