Drug companies shell out to support Obamacare
Fox News | 08/26/2009 | rstrahan

Posted on 08/26/2009 6:30:29 AM PDT by rstrahan

On Fox News this morning. Details of a back-room deal between the White House and drug companies coming out. The White House has agreed to allow reduced competition between drug companies, which allows a bigger bottom line. The drug companies in return are going to spend millions to push Obamacare.

White House is trying to keep this quiet. Henry Waxman, of all people, is pushing to get the details. Typical Chicago corruption by the Gang of Crooks in charge of the White House.

But this is literally no different than exactly what we’ve twice faced with “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” aka Illegal Alien Amnesty, with support coming from an array of of K Street “business associations” (lobbyists) for the meatpacking, construction, and fast food industries.

“Health care/insurance reform” is also a big plus for them because they want the American taxpayer to fund the health care of their 20 million++ illicit and illegal (wage undercutting) unskilled peasant workers.

And they’re gearing up once again to assault everyday Americans with their plot to grant Z Visas and unvetted American identities to these 20 million++ peasant laborers.

Given he is a ruler, one who understands Black Kenyan/African tradition, how fat will his pocket be?

This came up last night at Jim Moran’s town hall. Moran came right out and said he would not have made this deal. I was a little surprised to see him criticize the White House so directly.

Another group of free enterprise companies sells their soul to the devil ... first to sellout was GE (then NBC, MSNBC,...), then the US auto industry (except Ford), of course the banks ... now the pharma’s.

Once you sell your soul to this administration, you are finished. It is just a matter of time before the grim reaper calls ...

Seems like there should be some anti-trust regulations that would apply here. Anyone know?

This is exactly what has driven health care costs through the roof going back to the 60’s. The government’s involvement results in no price competetion and the cost side has spun out of control.

Nearly 18% of the world’s most robust economy being consumed by healthcare. Hello 20% and beyond if the wheels don’t come completely off before that.

$150 million, from what I've read.

What is most pathetic/funny/sad/disgraceful is that drug companies actually BELIEVE what Hussein is telling them. The notion that they believe he will keep his word to them is breathtaking.

It really doesn't matter - nobody in DC cares. There’s a new game in town and it's called “Pillage America.”

I took the opportunity last week to write to the CEOs of all the PhRMA member companies who manufacture meds I frequently prescribe. I told them that, unless there are overriding reasons, I will no longer be choosing their meds for my patients when their are options available, unless they drop their membership in this organization. I have also passed that info along to the hapless “drug reps” who come by to push their wares, all of whom were, surprisingly, entirely ignorant of this scandal.
