SINGLE PAYER
HEALTHCARE
NOW
&
Health care
is a
fundamental
right
The democrat in question probably wouldn’t understand the reality that
single payer = government rationed healthcare
and
you have no “fundamental rights” that impose an involuntary burden on another human being.
I was there too and also thought Kevin Brady did well. I was the woman toward the front who commented that I wanted the government “out of my pocket, out of my business, out of my faith, out of our kids’ schools, out of our health care, out of our death planning and out of our life.”
There seemed to be a lot of folks there who agreed with me, but after the meeting a bug-eyed snarling woman almost chased me down, got in my face and said “did I want to lose my medicare”? I told her that would be fine if they would just give me all my own money back I put in and I would gladly take care of myself. She was holding one of those preprinted “astroturf” signs supporting the health care bill and I showed her my sign and said I paid for it myself, and who paid for hers? She wouldn’t answer!
I remember you and your speech. It was a great event and a lot of Very good questions were brought up. I knew a few dems, but not sure if I do now. They were very Vocal about Pres Bush, but I don't here anything from them about the current Administration. Strange. Not.
Thanks! It was a remarkable meeting and the crowd was huge. I was sort of surprised at the snarling woman who got in my face after the meeting. It really was kind of funny! I guess she thought she could intimidate me. She doesn’t know ME very well, haha! There certainly is a lot of hypocrisy of the press and the Democrats compared to the way they treated President Bush. Thank goodness people seem to be waking up and speaking out though. I never spoke out like that in my life but feel so strongly about this I wanted to attend and do so now.
