I’m laughing.
VA was some of the worst health “care” I’ve ever seen.
Don’t get me started on Army doctors.
I’m a military brat. I’ve seen some good ones and some really bad ones. It’s a cr@p shoot, for sure.
I had about six months experience with the VA. That's how long it took me to get an appointment. When I had an allergic reaction to the medicine I called them and they said that they could get me another appointment - if I was willing to wait another six months.
We use the military insurance - TRICARE. My wife had a seizure that was described by the Emergency Room physician as "potentially life threatening." We tried to get in to see the military doctor for a referral, but there were no appointments available. I repeat - they didn't say we had to wait weeks or months, they said there were no appointments available. Doctors downtown wouldn't make an appointment without a referral from our Primary Care Manager (PCM) at the base and there was no way to see him. I finally called my Congressman and the base managed to fit me in once, but only after four months of trying to deal with the military hospital.
I'm gonna call you out on that one. I've had nothing but good experiences with the Army doctors and surgeons I've seen.
