My son’s mother in law was the daughter of an Ambassador to Cuba when the revolution began. Her father was put into prison and murdered. She, a young girl, was put into prison and tortured and still bears the scars today. A priest helped her escape and she made it to Belgium, I believe, where he met her husband, a Russian who was also escaping communism.
