This is great news. I didn’t even know that Honore was a Republican. Even better that he is pro-life! Certainly better than ole Colon Powell.

I wonder what Moon Griffon thinks about this? He is a local Louisiana true-conservative talk show host. I think he may still support Vitter. But I think that if Honore wins he is a shoe -in. He would get the Republican vote and at least 40% of the black vote. Mary Landrieu better be glad she isn’t up for re-election against him.

I don’t think he’d get anywhere near 40% of the black vote; maybe he’d break 20% (it will take a few years before blacks stop voting 90% Democrat in most elections). But if he gets the conservative vote he’s a shoo-in.

I need to hear more about General Honoré’s views on the issues before I jump on his bandwagon, but I am certainly intrigued by his potential candidacy.
